The dress has never been washed. The short sleeves are straight cap styles sleeves. The dress is pink, with blue and darker pink flowers, with green leaves and stems. Here is a beautiful Madame Alexander Carmen doll in her original clothing, circa 1935. Please enjoy the photos and imagine her as a part of your collection! She is 21 tall, with composition head and 5-piece body, with no cracks, crazing or chips. As shown in the photo, the torso has some marks due to the stand. These are covered by the clothing. Her brown sleep eyes move freely, and have full lashes, and blue eye shadow, which has some scratches, as shown in the photo. She has a closed mouth with deep red lips, a star-shaped beauty mark, and nicely-arched eyebrows. She has the Madame Alexander clover paper wrist label, with no other marks or tags. Her beautifully detailed hairstyle is in the original set. The original costume is of black cotton with lace inserts, and cascades of tiny roses on green velvet ribbon to match the roses in her hair. A long black veil, bangle earrings, undergarments of pale peach, and lovely red shoes complete the outfit. The veil is held in place by an unusual sequinned “comb” and hair pins. The garments display beautifully, although there is some discoloration after nearly 80 years of age. Her stringing has been professionally replaced with new elastic, so she can be perfectly posed. This is a wonderful strung 1953 first year Madame Alexander Quiz-kins-Yes & No Nodder Doll. She is in beautiful condition with original triple stitched brunette wig in long curls, excellent bright natural face coloring with brown brows, light green brown eyes that open and close freely, black under lashes, pink cheeks with no scuffs or touch-ups and bright red lips. Her body is in excellent tightly strung condition, arms hold a pose. Alex is wearing her tagged yellow cotton dress with square snaps and black flower print pinafore, Alex-kins fuzzy bottom black side snap shoes, some wear with rayon socks. Dress is in excellent clean condition. Cute Alex-kins hat completes her outfit. Great 1953 Quiz Alex-kins which dont come around often in this lovely condition. I have been hanging onto this one because she is so minty and in gorgeous unplayed with condition. Gorgeous blonde hair in original set with hairnet and headband.
