Madame Alexander Margaret O’Brien 18 Inch Doll 1946-47 with Box No Reserve. 18 Madame Alexander Margaret OBrien Composition Doll. Dolls are not our greatest area of expertise, so please ask questions and offer additional information wherever possible. She was a child movie star in the 1940s. Alexander made her in composition in 1946-7. It appears that the clothing is faded but original. It is clear that she was played with, and while I didn’t take off her clothes, they appear to be faded but otherwise in good condition. She has a marking across her back that reads. The paper tag attached to her clothing reads. 1946 – Sears catalog – displayed OBrien Doll on one side and Directory of U. Trademarks – by – Luella Hart – Pg 29 – Margaret OBrien. On the other (pictured). The box is in rough condition (see pictures). More than one view is provided to best show design, construction and condition. All items are returnable. MADAME ALEXANDER 21 ROME CISSY DOLL 25555 LE 272/700. She in her original box and has her certificate. She is numbered 272 out of a limited edition of 700 pieces. This doll’s face is quite tacky. It almost feels like wax. I do not know if they are all this way, or something happened to the vinyl of this particular doll. She is still beautiful. The clothing is gorgeous!
