Here today is a darling 20 in. All original Madame Alexander Cissy doll #2083 with original box made the first year she was produced in 1955. Cissy’s outfit is in excellent condition with only a couple of small issues. The red cotton jumper is in excellent crisp and clean condition with no stains, no holes, no tears and no discoloration, closing in the back with a single original intact snap. The darling red and white striped cotton blouse is not tagged but there are remnants of where the Cissy label was under the collar in the back outer neck area. The blouse closes in the front with 3 tiny original white working buttons. The blouse is in crisp and clean excellent condition with no issues. Under the jumper Cissy wears her original white very full 1/2 slip with several layers of netting at the hem with white rickrack trim. The elastic in the waist is okay with enough stretch still to stay up. Also included are Cissy’s original white satin panties with lace trim. The panties are starting to show signs of shredding just above the lace in the front. Cissy also wears her original nylon stockings with a seam in the back that have a couple of tiny tiny holes. To complete Cissy’s outfit are her white elastic high heels with red plastic heels and her original hat with red velvet ribbon around the brim. The only issue I see with the hat is the top crown area has started to age with a slight yellow color change. Cissy is in excellent condition. Her face paint is good but could use some more blush. Wonderful stroked eyebrows with painted lower lashes and ruby red painted lips. She has all of her brown hair eyelashes, none missing and no crimping. Her clear blue eyes open and close. As with most vintage Cissy’s her eye color has a hint of brown mixed in with the blue color, looking somewhat green at times. Her limb joints are very good, she has no problem with sitting or bending her knees. Her head can be posed in many ways but at times her head bobbles a little. There is a tiny start of a split up inside her hip joint on one leg, barley noticeable. I don’t see any unwanted body marks or excessive dirt, she does skill have the original blush on her knees and hands. Cissy’s blonde wig is in very good condition with no missing hair that still retains the curls. Cissy will come in her original legible labeled box that is still in 2 pieces, the lid and box, but in poor condition.
