Her tagged gown is unwashed with bright vivid coloring. Her original lace Bonnet is still a lovely white, with black velvet ribbon and trimmed with lovely pink roses. She wears her original white gloves and has her black and gold madame Alexander hat box, both in excellent condition. Her curls are shiny, tight and still in original set. Her coloring is very nice, her eyes are beautiful, with THICK and long “maggie” eyelashes. However, her eyes don’t seem to close easily when she lays down. It may be an easy fix, however, I will leave it to the next owner to decided what they want to do or not do about that. Her hoop-slip and attached panties are white, and appear to have been washed. Her original netting stockings and black shoes look very nice too. Look at the photos and aks questions. I may have missed something important to you. She is just a lovely, large doll. She is the harder to find 21 hard plastic Margaret doll. Her beautiful Pink dress with cream crochet and lace accents, has a couple very light, small age spots on the bodice, and a flawless tag. Her soft mohair wig is still in perfect original set of curls. Her straw bonnet is adorned with blue satin bows (which match the blue satin sash on her gown) and lovely cabbage roses, and is without any breakage that I can see. The elastic that fits under her chin is still tight. She has matching pink and lace trimmed panties (elastic still tight), and light cream original stockings still fitted nicely to her legs. Her pink bow trimmed shoes are perfect top and bottom, with both soles and heels still in excellent condition. She still has her original “Madame Alexander Margaret Rose” green, clover wrist tag in excellent condition and blue original purse on her wrist. She is without odors. She has piercing blue eyes, full dark eyelashes, and shiny dark curls in original set. Her crisply tagged pale pink taffeta gown is still very stiff and has never been pressed. The decorative, detailed sequin and beading work down her plush, purple, velvet sash is just stunning. She wears all of her original jewelry, pearl tear drop earrings, pearl necklace, pearl and “diamond” studded bracelets, and “diamond” crusted silver crown. She wears her long, slightly off-white finger-less gloves, and has a pink Madame Alexander Hat box. Her stiff matching pink taffeta hoop-slip with attached lace edged, (with stiff elastic) panties are lovely. Her netting stockings and satin shoes with flawlessly fuzzy soles are a perfect final touch. She comes from a smoke and pet-free home. She is really a lovely doll. Her full-skirted, tagged gown with Blue embossed flowers and vines is made of crisp polished cotton, and is trimmed with lovely white ball trim. Her dress does have a couple small spots/areas with light yellow aging. Her bonnet is a stiff black taffeta edged in black lace and adorned with a lovely white ostrich feather. She has on her blue gloves and carries her black madame Alexander Hat box. Her Coloring is outstanding; her eyebrows, blushing, soft eyeshadow, bright lips etc. Her Eyes are a vibrant sky blue that matches the blue in her dress nicely. She has long, thick eyelashes, and shiny perfect curls in original set. She wears a white hoopslip with attached lace-edged panties, which is unwashed and still bright, but shows a few little holes near the hem. Her original net stockings are in beautiful condition, and her black velvet shoes are still nice too (with one shoe sole showing a touch more wear than the other). No odors, and comes from a smoke and pet-free home. She isn’t 100% mint, but over all in very beautiful condition, and a great example of a VERY hard to finds blue variation of the Edwardian Glamour Girl. This is a beautiful, Vintage, 18 Madame Alexander, hard plastic, Karen Ballerina in a tagged, very rare variation outfit. Her coloring, eyebrows, lips, blushing etc. Her mohair braids are in decent vintage condition, with some of the under strings showing through (as is often the case), and still adorned with roses. She still has her original black velvet ribbon at her neck and wrists. Her ballet dress still has it’s gold ribbon and flowers and roses attached. Her pink panties are still in fantastic condition as are her pink satin ballet slippers. I believe the tag on her dress hasn’t been washed, but does show some signs of fading in the lettering a bit from being displayed near sunlight by a previous owner. Karen Ballerina’s are somewhat rare and fairly sought after dolls, and this variation (with the pink trim around the neckline on the sleeves and at the waist) is VERY hard to find. Up for sale is this amazing near mint 18 Vintage Madame Alexander Active Miss (same body as Sweet Violet). The active miss and sweet violet dolls have different bodies than the other Madame Alexander dolls. They are jointed at the wrists, elbows and knees, and all of her joints work well. Their eyes are a lovely deeper blue than other Madame Alexander dolls. This active miss is in extraordinary condition. She is wearing her crisply tagged party dress of pink organdy, white lace trim, and pink satin ribbon sash. She has a perfect lace trimmed slip with matching panties, also trimmed in lace and adorned with little pink bows. Her white socks and black patent leather side snap shoes are flawless as well. Her pink bonnet is trimmed with lace, ribbon and stunning original flowers. There are a few tiny spots of discoloration from age. As for the doll herself, she is breathtaking. Her eyes are that deep blue, eyelashes thick and long. Her original eye-shadow, brows, blushing and lips are all stunning. Her hair is in nearly perfect original curls. Here, for your consideration is one of the most beautiful dolls I have ever seen. This is a 20 inch Cissy from 1955, based on the information in my book. She is called “Blue Waltz”. Her gown is Blue heavy slipper satin with silver braid and “sapphire” accents. I just realized I see where one rhinestone is missing, but you can’t really tell unless you pick the fabric up and inspect it closely. I suppose it could be replaced. LOL Her gown has capped sleeves and is design detailed. She is wearing her matching slip with netting layers trimmed with satin ribbon. She is wearing panties, back seamed stockings and she will bring her original strappy heels. I put them in a little plastic bag and tied them to her arm, for fear of losing them. The elastic is stretched out, as so many of them are. In my opinion, she is drop dead gorgeous. She has a little white feather fan, but I do believe it is a replacement, as is her beautiful bandeau hat which seems to be a lovely copy of the original one. Notice the blue showing in her eyes. Based on everything I have been told and have learned, this is the original doll in her original gown with matching slip. Cissy does not appear to have any crotch cracks or knee cracks. She seems to have all her eyelashes and her face paint is just beautiful. Her coloring all over is just lovely, in my opinion. Now, there are some stains on the dress, not bad in my opinion, but I want to mention them. I took a picture of the ones on the back of her gown. In my opinion, they are not noticeable anywhere when she is on display, but you have to look closely to see them. They kind of disappear in the folds of that beautiful satin. Her hair appears to me to be mostly in the original set. Note the longer bangs. Oh yes, I just noticed you can see a small amount of the wig cap through her “hair” if you look closely. I really don’t know her history. This is the way she came to me. She isn’t absolutely perfect, but she is absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. That is all I know to tell you right now. Up for sale is this GORGEOUS and Rare 18 Mary Louise from Madame Alexander’s Me and My Shadow series from 1954. I have been told that as rare as this doll is, much, much more rare is finding her with her Yellow striped gloves! She is a beautiful doll, with a Cissy face, and amazing golden yellow braids that are pinned up with shiny perfect curls at each cheek. Her eyes are a lovely blue, she has full eyelashes, lovely eye shadow, two stroke brows and pink lips. Her blush is pretty too, though she does have a “rub” on her left cheek. She is wearing a full-skirted burnt orange taffeta dress with crisp tag, black trim at neckline, bust and at her wrists. Her original olive green wool jacket and hat with cream trim, rickrack and adorned with a few tiny metal flowers at the small of her back and on the top of her head, are in excellent condition as well. No moth holes that I can see. Her hat is kept on her head by a lovely mustard yellow velvet ribbon which wraps around her braids and over her head. Her yellow gloves with black stripes match the yellow ribbon nicely and are in excellent condition as well. Her light cream taffeta underskirt/hoop-slip is still crisp, as are her pantaloons. Her black velvet shoes are in excellent condition with fuzzy soles. She also has her black and gold hatbox in lovely condition. She comes from a smoke and pet free home, and is without odors.
