Madame Alexander Dolls

Here, for your consideration is a 20 inch Cissy from 1957, based on the information in my book. She is called “Black A-Line” Cissy. She is all original wearing her black velvet/velveteen A-Line gown. There is beaded trim at the top. She wears her original earrings, which have turned some from age. She also wears black fingerless gloves. She wears a black slip, black panties, black shoes, with back seam stockings. Her face is absolutely gorgeous with bright coloring. Her head is a little loose. She looks to have all her eyelashes. Her hair is in the original set with the RARE side curls. Her hair is ultra shiny, in my opinion. I see no crotch or knee cracks. She has her original fur stole with the little animal face showing. I have to tell you that age is taking a tole on it. It is shedding pretty badly. I’m sure you can see some on her gown. Also, on the lining in the picture, you can see where someone has tried to do some repair work. If it were me, I would get a vintage Madame Alexander stole that is “fake” fur and use that. Although, of course that is your decision. Notice the blue showing in her eyes. Based on everything I have been told and have learned, this is the original doll in her original gown with matching slip. Cissy does not appear to have any crotch cracks or knee cracks. She seems to have all her eyelashes and her face paint is just beautiful. Her coloring all over is just lovely, in my opinion. This is the way she came to me. Please read description for flaws. This is a hard to find dress made of sheer printed nylon with Val lace trim on bodice, cuffs and collar. Three rhinestone buttons accent the bodice. Four smaller rhinestone studs accent the cuffs. The dress unfortunately has wear, tear and soiling. There is spotting and staining throughout. Lace trim has yellowed from age. There is a tear to the right side of bodice near sleeve seam as well as one on the bottom of the dress. Please see last two photos. The Dress has a Cissy tag which is worn most likely from washing (not by me). The dress most definitely could use a soaking to see if some of the stains would come out. The dress comes with a beautiful pale pink lace and ruffled tulle slip. The elastic waistband is stretched. It really flounces out the dress. Despite all of the flaws of the dress this would still display nicely on your Cissy doll. Comes from smoke and pet free home.
