For your consideration a RARE and Hard to Find. 1955 #487 Lady in Waiting. She wears a satin dress with side panniers of tulle and flowers and a coronet veil. Needless to say, as is the case with these vintage dolls clothing, the elastic that holds the veil is overly stretched as is the elastic at the waist of her organdy half slip/crinoline. I have never redressed or did a thing to her but have kept her in a cabinet away from heavy light and sunlight. She is as the title states….. Here was the ad, I couldn’t say it any better than this. What is there not to adore??? The girl we all love is all dressed up in a spectacular recreation of the very rare satin afternoon dress #2035 from 1956. This gorgeous off-white gown was made with taffeta and to my knowledge is one of only two creations made. The sash of the dress is caught at the left waist with vintage florals, and another vintage bouquet rests at Cissy’s right shoulder. Hand-set rhinestones in various sizes are sprinkled on the bodice and the sash. Closure is at the back with 3 square snaps. Underneath is the taffeta and tulle slip, custom made for this gown, taffeta panties and vintage hosiery. Cissy chose to wear a gorgeous rhinestone jewelry set – matching necklace and bracelet – a big sparkler on her finger, and small little hoop rhinestone earrings. Note: this beauty did not come with pierced ears, her earrings were applied with a spot of completely removable glue. This is indeed a breathtaking, gasp-worthy Cissy!! She was produced in 1955 and was the only Cissy to have been blessed with this gorgeous light brown wig, which also has longer bangs and longer curls in the back. Her features are beautiful – matte, with lightly blushed cheeks. Her color is ORIGINAL with no touch-ups of any kind. She has sparkling clear blue eyes with full lashes, and no splits, cracks, or odors. She will come to you with a replicated hand tag. This is One Very Special Girl! Please feel free to ask questions.
