Price is a MAGNIFICENT RARE MINT-IN-BOX 14 MADAME ALEXANDER COMPOSITION SCARLETT O’HARA DOLL! In AMAZING condition, and an EXCEPTIONAL EXAMPLE of this circa 1939 fictional Civil War heroine doll, this GORGEOUS GIRL was obviously never played with, and her overall crisp and FACTORY ORIGINAL presentation with her original foil GOLD HANGTAG will not only captivate your heart but will thrill the most seasoned collector——-she is as GOOD as it GETS! Just in time for the upcoming holidays, we fell in love with her luscious and rich CHRISTMAS GREEN lace trimmed velvet overcoat with matching plumed bonnet, green dotted Swiss organdy gown, crisp white cotton hoop underskirt with ruffled trim, and matching fancy pantaloons, all in UNTOUCHED CONDITION! To complete her outfit she wears her original matching leatherette matching side snap GREEN SHOES with tiny green satin bows, as well her white rayon cotton stockings; we honestly don’t think any of her garments have been ever removed from her! The doll herself is SPECTACULAR, with her composition fresh like the day she came out of the factory, with BEAUTIFULLY BLUSHED cheeks and virtually NO CRAZING that we can detect. She has her original STRUNG BODY that is fairly tight and she will still hold a pose nicely! Her original JET BLACK wig is made of either human hair or mohair; hard to tell for sure as it is still glossy and in its ORIGINAL SET! Her beautiful bluish green eyes have just slightly clouded over the years, but still relatively in good condition compared to others we have seen, and they are framed by all of her original dark eyelashes with subtly smoked eye shadow! You will love this fabulous and amazing doll; we almost kept her for ourselves! Scarlett comes with her FACTORY ORIGINAL BOX, albeit with some wear especially to the lid, retaining its original and correct paper label and remnants of old paper tissue! But what we found especially charming is that the doll was originally given as a Christmas present as the ORIGINAL PROVENANCE is evidenced on the side of the box by hand scripting “FROM SANTA, CHRISTMAS 1941″——–can you imagine getting this doll under YOUR tree this holiday?
