Madame Alexander Dolls

This is a stunning vintage 1950s Madame Alexander Cissy doll in her original box. Cissy stands 20 inches tall and wears her original tagged lingerie, nylons with back seam, and flower embellished pink heels. Her hair is in the original set with a bow at the back. Cissy has stunning turquoise blue eyes and beautiful face paint. There is a small scuff on one cheek. Please see the photos. Her original box shows wear. The top is taped and the corners of the lid are broken. Issues to note on the doll: the scuff on the cheek as mentioned above, one arm is a bit loose as if the elastic has lost some of its stretch, and there is an area with a bit of a pink tint to the back and top of the hair. Possibly from laying against something pink or red. This is light and hard to see, I have tried to capture it in the photos. She has some missing lashes on one eye. This is an original tagged vintage Madame Alexander Cissy dress from 1957. The dress is green taffeta with cotton polka dot sleeves, collar, and bow accent. Tagged Cissy inside the center back seam. All snaps are present and secure. No stains in taffeta, holes, or tears. The cotton sleeve and bow fabric does show spotted aging as is common on these dresses. Taffeta is nice and crisp. There is some crinkling to the taffeta fabric finish. The photos pick this up. Overall a very fresh looking lovely nice dress for your Cissy doll. This is a very nice Madame Alexander vintage Cissy doll. She stands out beautifully among other Cissy dolls! Shiny blonde updo wig is just lovely. With topknot and straight bangs. Pretty blue green sleep eyes. She is clean, with no loose joints, or floppy head. No splits or cracks. No joint wear to the body. Her chest and upper back show very slight fading and wear. This is a 1959 Cissy Bride wearing her voluminous pleated tulle gown and she is ready to add to your collection. Beautiful blue sleep eyes. She may have had work on her eyebrows, but it isnt discernible to me. Cissy has had cheek color added to her face, and has been professionally sealed. She has a porcelain-like finish, so clean and fresh! Excellent body with no apparent seam splits or repairs that I can see. Clean, odor free, well strung doll. Cissy wears her original tulle gown, slip, panties, stockings and shoes. She even wears her garter on her leg! One stocking has a tiny 1 run at the knee and the elastics have been replaced on the shoes since the old ones were all stretched out. Original beautiful headpiece and veil and replaced bridal bouquet. Two or three tiny nips in the veil and one 1 tear in the tulle skirt that disappears in the pleats. This is a wonderful rare Madame Alexander Cissy Doll named Creole Beauty. She is from the Portrait Series of 1960. Creole Beauty is a turn of the century model wearing a gown of heavy moire, ornamented with fine black silk braid and accentuated with a black maribou neckline on her overjacket. A full half slip lends support for the large sweeping skirt section of the gown. The gown is tagged Cissy. Stockings, panties, and black strappy shoes finish off her unders. Cissy carries a black velvet and sequin reticule and wears her “diamond” ring. She wears replacement earrings and hat. The gown has some slight discoloration streaks that is not easily seen in the photos. The discoloration has been seen on other examples of this outfit leading me to believe it is a product of the aging process of the fabric. However, there are also a couple of tiny areas that are actual stain spots. They are circled in one of the photos. Her cheeks have been professionally reblushed and sealed, and her face skin tone is slightly darker than the body. No seam splits or cracks. Her brunette wig is very clean and well coiffed. This beautiful Cissy is from 1958. Cissy is wearing the hard to find nautical skirt set with hat. The three-piece skirt set consists of the tagged red box pleated skirt with gold elastic waist, the V-neck jacket with gold buttons and special emblem, and the striped knit shirt with red satin accent bow and button-down back. Also included are the original flat brimmed hat, slip, panties, gold high heels, and special replacement coin earrings and excellent replacement stockings. Her jacket could use a light soak to brighten it up but will leave that decision to new owner. The elastic on the slip has been replaced since the original elastic was stretched out, and panties have a small hole at one leg opening near the lace trim.
