Madame Alexander Dolls

Here’s a truly gorgeous vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll in very good condition. She comes wearing original tagged dark blue taffeta dress with matching straw hat, bolero cape with bow, original panties, replacement pink crinoline, replacement ivory high heel shoes and stockings, vintage rhinestone ring and rhinestone earrings which are glued on. (This outfit is not original to this particular Cissy doll). She has clear blue-gray eyes, red lips, blushed cheeks, and eyeshadow. Her wig which is original to the 1957 Cissy Queen doll is a pretty chestnut brown color with upswept sides….. Matches her complexion perfectly. She has blushed hands and knees. Her eyes open and close and she has no missing lashes. Sometimes her head needs a little nudge to help them open. I see no cracks, splits or tears. She is strung well and holds poses. This doll has no major flaws. There are a few minor ones which I will mention. There are a few age related rub marks at the tops of her legs. There are two tiny faint spots on the underside of her left wrist which are hard to notice. A spot of paint is missing on her left eyelid which of course can only be seen when her eyes are shut. If held under a bright light, there are a few places around her wig showing a very slight bit of glue residue. This is hard to see in normal lighting. One leg is a tiny bit shorter than the other as is sometimes common with these dolls. Please note that all of these flaws are very minor for a doll over sixty years old. She’s stunning and displays beautifully. Her clothes are in very good to excellent condition. The dress is lovely with no tears or stains. Still nice and crisp. The hat is missing a small amount of trim near the back. The chin strap is still attached and is in great shape. Her cape is slightly separated at the left seam in the front. The dress is accented with a “Richard Original” hat and purse. The pretty hat is adorned with cherries that compliments the cherry pattern in the dress fabric. What a sweet summer outfit for Cissy. To complete the ensemble the doll will arrive wearing vintage white Cissy heels accented with red rhinestones, vintage Madame Alexander taffeta Cissy panties in excellent condition no holes, replaced stockings no holes, also her red bead necklace and earrings, and a faux ruby gold tone ring. The doll herself is also in excellent condition. She is well strung and holds a pose. Her beautiful blue eyes have all of their original thick lashes. Her face is lovely with original blush and rosy lips. The only flaw the doll has is a small hip split high up on the inside of her right leg. The picture makes it look much larger than it is, and it doesn’t show when the doll is posed normally, as shown in the last photo. Thank you for looking at this beautiful doll.
