Vintage Madame Alexander Kins 1953 With Lovely Tagged Outfit! . Lovely 1953 SLNW heavy body doll! Arms are a little loose and one arm looks like it may have been replaced, it is paler in color. Doll has a pink stain on bottom and some scratch lines to right leg. Please refer to pictures. She is a beauty still and is dressed in a beautiful early pink organdy and lace dress. Here is a complete outfit for your vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. It consists of a tagged dress, tagged slip, hat, purse, necklace, and high heels. The dress has always been one of my favorite day dresses for Cissy, and it is in excellent, unwashed condition. Rhinestones are intact and very sparkly, and the lace has not aged–nice and white. Has four secure square snaps down the back and an excellent “Cissy” tag. The white taffeta slip is tagged and has the red grosgrain bow, which makes it a much harder-to-find Cissy slip. The original elastic is still incredibly tight, and the slip has not been washed. It does have two pinholes–one straight down from the red bow, which you can see through the netting, and the other is on the back of the slip and can be seen in the picture of the tag. The slip has retained most of its original white color. The hat with open crown was made by rtrorich and is tagged Richard Original. The tan straw is edged with a pretty glossy red straw, with a bow in the back of the same straw. Richard later made the purse/shopping bag for me. It is of a different straw, but the same red straw trim was used. A pair of France Depose sunglasses are hanging over the edge. Works very well, as one earpiece is missing. If you have an earpiece in the clear plastic, then you would have a useful pair of sunglasses. As they are, they are a neat decoration for the bag. Necklace consists of a very narrow vintage red ribbon, which holds a lightly-engraved locket, and ties in the back of the neck. Included is a pair of newer-made red high heels. Probably original Cissy lasts, but not sure. I have shown the outfit on a Cissy doll, which is not included, so you can see how it would look on your Cissy. A great outfit to add to your collection! Vintage 1953 Madame Alexander Queen Elizabeth Coronation Doll , WITH CAPE. In 1953, Abraham & Strauss, the New York department store, commissioned Madame Alexander to create a doll-sized version of Queen Elizabeth IIs coronation! With a desire to ensure the best outfits for these dolls, Madame Alexander worked with the British Museum of Costume to create 36 dolls that represented the queen and her court with supreme accuracy Scott 15. This rare doll is part of a collection, and has almost NEVER been handled or touched. Complete with satin lined red velvet cape with gold trim (very rarely seen) , petticoat, tights, shoes, crown, jewels, and gloves. Who doesn’t love classic Swiss polka dots? Cissy circa 1956 in her original glory. This version of the organdy polka dot dress is harder to find. There’s a gorgeous red sash accentuating her waist. Tosca blonde hair in original bob set, and stunning peaches & cream complexion. She has such gorgeous, delicate features. Check out her brows! Her sparkly, clear blue green eyes still have her perfect original lashes. Her creamy complexion, with original, high color blush, eye shadow, and satiny red lips is all original and artfully painted!! She is free of splits & cracks. Her stringing is perfect for posing beautifully in any outfit you desire. She can even stand by herself if you balance her just right! Her arm and body color still match beautifully, so she can wear those revealing outfits without a problem. She’ll come to you in her original MA dress, slip, panties, seamed stockings and red high heeled sandals (elastic is stretched as usual, but cleverly twisted they work just fine). This Cissy dress from 1955, has not been washed, and the fabric has nice body and vibrant color. Its only issue is “flea bits” in the organdy of the left sleeve and some scattered “flea bits” on the skirt, mainly on the right front up toward the waist. Have no idea what caused this, but this was the condition when I bought it. As with most of my Cissy dresses, this one was stored and never used by me for display. Its snaps are secure (3), and the little black velvet bows on the shoulders are in very nice condition. The tag is in excellent condition. The dress has black belt loops and probably had a belt at one time. It now has a silky satin ribbon to tie in a bow at the waist. The skirt is ultra full. The sleeve elastic has relaxed slightly, but they still have nice puff. I have photo’d the flaws. In one pic, there is a mark showing near the hem on the skirt that is actually a little crease that needs to be pressed out. The “flea bites” on the organdy sleeve are really enhanced by the camera, but do not stand out on the doll. Even with these imperfections, it is still a lovely dress to have in your Cissy’s wardrobe. If you have questions or want additional photos, please le me know. My home is non-smoking, and there are no odor issues with the dress. The Cissy doll modeling is not included. A beautiful infused Cissy doll in her original black A-line velvet gown from 1957. Her gown is in lovely condition with no stains, rips, holes or odors. The gown is lined in pellon. No damage to the sequin trim at the neckline. All snaps are present. Original nylon crinoline slip with new elastic waistband. Light pink original Cissy panties, vintage nylons and new silver shoes. She is also wearing her original black gauntlet gloves. They have a few holes in them, have a little fading, but they show very well. She is wearing a vintage diamond bracelet, new pearl earrings and necklace, and a new faux fur stole that is lined with a soft pink satin and has a rose corsage attached. Cissy herself is gorgeous. She is an infused Cissy doll. She had her wig removed for cleaning and it is newly reglued. All original curl was retained and the hair falls into lovely soft curls at the neck. Her wig is auburn, but it has changed colors a bit and has a very pretty coppery shine to it. It is beautiful and very attractive. Cissy has her original bright blue eyes with just a few flecks of amber. Her face has been newly airbrushed with blush and she has a UV protectant sealer applied. Cissy has no cracks or splits, nor repairs to such. She is newly strung to her head and arms. Her arms have no rips or tears in the vinyl. She has no odors, and she has been cleaned inside and out. She is marked Alexander on the back of her head. Stand is not included. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. No smoke and mirrors, what you see is exactly what she is. This is one of those times when pictures say a thousand words. Here is the Alexander Doll Company’s very rare yellow version of boxed extra item #22-60, the dotted Swiss tulle gown from 1959, also catalogued by FAO Schwarz as item #25-21-2. With an extremely critical eye, I must say this gown is in as near mint condition as mint can be – I reserve awarding that title only because it does not have its original box. This bright & crisply tagged gown has a cotton organdy underskirt; there is not a single spot of soiling or as much as a snag anywhere in either the organdy or the yards of overlaying tulle. Closure is at the back with four square snaps. Usually seen in the more familiar red version, both the yellow and the blue gowns are extremely rare and a favorite among collectors. Underneath Cissy is wearing vintage hosiery, and the gorgeous silk taffeta & tulle yellow slip (with matching original panties) is a perfect replica of the slip originally seen with this spectacular gown.
