I don’t know much about dolls, but this was my mother’s and she was born in 1943. She obviously wasn’t allowed to play with her much because she is in really good shape. I believe all of her clothing is original, though I do not know that for sure. She has a petticoat and pantaloons under her dress. Her clothes could use a good ironing, but I didn’t want to attempt it. I would really love for her to have a better life than that! Her joints work well. She has some uniform light crazing on her face and legs, but I don’t think that detracts from her at all. There is also some pink staining on her socks and some wear on the bottom of her shoes (see pics). Overall a really nice looking doll that I would probably pass down to my one of my children had I not had two boys. They think she is creepy! She is a thing of beauty and ready to be showed off to all your doll loveing friends. She’s a 1940s 21 inch Madame Alexander hard plastic Margaret doll. She is strung tight at the hips, shoulders and neck. She has full lashes on eyes that open and close as they should. She has no odors or breaks and no cracks. She is wearing her original underwear, nylons and shoes. She also is wearing a beautiful tagged Madam Alexander vintage white ruffled gown trimmed with lace along with a velvet ribbon on her waist with a matching Madame Alexander velvet bonnet. Her eyes are absolutely gorgeous. They are brown and they are clear, bright and straight. Please feel free to ask questions or request more pictures.
