Welcome to my auctions! She is 20 tall with hard plastic body and vinyl jointed arms for posing. She is dressed in a 2 piece outfit of a skirt in lavender blue with box pleats, (lined in pale pink organdy), a cotton striped blouse with attached original flower, pale pink Cissy slip and matching panties, cloche type hat in white with pink velvet bow in back (reproduction by Richards Originals) and chatelaine pocket watch. The watch was turned around when picture was taken. She also wears, mint stock nylons and pale pink Cissy high heels. Skirt is tagged Cissy. She has a lovely face with clear eyes, full lashes, brows, nice cheek color and red mouth. She has had no work done on her face. Her hair is very dark brunette with original curled set, no cuts. The only thing she has had done is 2 cracks on her hips. They are nicely done. From smoke free home. Because of postal problems……. This is an 18″ (including top of hair) Madame Alexander “NINA BALLERINA doll probably from 1948 but not sure. She wears her original pale pink tutu with gold rick-rack trim and on her underskirt and panties. Tutu is tagged as pictured. I do not notice any tears or stains in the tutu or underslip. Nor did I see any cracks in her body. Please note that there is a factory flaw with lip color as pictured. There is a small worn area at the back lower waist gold rick-rack as pictured. The elastic in the underslip with attached panties has relaxed over the years but still stays up. Her ballerina slippers and ribbons are showing their age. Nina’s hair is pretty much in original set. The floral trim on the tutu is worn and aged. Her tutu will need to be steamed and you may want to replace the floral trim and add some to her hair. Doll and clothing have no bad odors and my home is non-smoking with no inside pets. A beautiful infused Cissy doll in her original black A-line velvet gown from 1957. Her gown is in lovely condition with no stains, rips, holes or odors. The gown is lined in pellon. No damage to the sequin trim at the neckline. All snaps are present. Original nylon crinoline slip with new elastic waistband. Light pink original Cissy panties, vintage nylons and new silver shoes. She is also wearing her original black gauntlet gloves. They have a few holes in them, have a little fading, but they show very well. She is wearing a vintage diamond bracelet, new pearl earrings and necklace, and a new faux fur stole that is lined with a soft pink satin and has a rose corsage attached. Cissy herself is gorgeous. She is an infused Cissy doll. She had her wig removed for cleaning and it is newly reglued. All original curl was retained and the hair falls into lovely soft curls at the neck. Her wig is auburn, but it has changed colors a bit and has a very pretty coppery shine to it. It is beautiful and very attractive. Cissy has her original bright blue eyes with just a few flecks of amber. Her face has been newly airbrushed with blush and she has a UV protectant sealer applied. Cissy has no cracks or splits, nor repairs to such. She is newly strung to her head and arms. Her arms have no rips or tears in the vinyl. She has no odors, and she has been cleaned inside and out. She is marked Alexander on the back of her head. Stand is not included. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. No smoke and mirrors, what you see is exactly what she is. Here is a late 1950s multijointed Dollikin 2S made by Uneeda. She is more than 60 years old now and, although beautiful, is not perfect. Her wonderful outfits are perfect. Dollikin’s head is soft vinyl, and the remainder of her body is hard plastic. She stands approximately 19 inches tall and has 16 movable joints. She was such a novel concept in her day and was the forerunner of today’s multijointed fashion dolls. The seams in the hard plastic of these dolls are not smooth like the more expensive hard plastic dolls made by Madame Alexander and others. But the Dollikin face is winsome and beautiful. This girl has rooted brunette hair that has a hint of cinnamon in some lighting. Her bob hairdo is not perfect, but very presentable. There is one spot on her left side that looks like it may have been trimmed in the past, but doesn’t detract, in my opinion. Not even sure it was cut, as I have a blonde Dollikin with the same hairstyle with shorter layering in one area. Dollikin has retained her original facial coloring, and her blue sleep eyes are bright and work well. Her left eye is slightly lazy. She does not have pierced ears, but they can be pierced using a simple push pin. The fingernails and toenails are painted. Her elbow joints are loose, and she can’t hold many different poses. Don’t know how to correct the loose elbow joints, but they do get that way over the years. Other joints seem okay; head is not as tight as other Dollikin’s I have, but she is very pose-able there, and I believe it is secure. Her right hip is a little more “bulgy” than the other, which is common in these dolls. Doesn’t really present a problem as far as I’m concerned. She has a light rub at the top front of her left hip where it goes into the body. Her two outfits are very striking, and the black pantyhose, high heels and pillbox hat interchange between the two. The shirtwaist dress is expertly made from a charcoal moire cotton fabric with very nice body. The bodice is fully lined, and the waistline seam is serged. There are four snaps under the rhinestone buttons, and I added a tiny vintage rhinestone bow pin at the neckline. There iis rhinestone trim on the cuffs, also. It has a very full skirt, and a burgundy velvet belt with rhinestone buckle has been added for a dash of color. Underneath, she wears a magnificent black taffeta can-can trimmed in lace and tulle ruffles inside and out. She is wearing black pantyhose that are original to Madame Alexander modern Cissy, a pair of perfect vintage Dolshoe high heels with rhinestone trim and unstretched elastic, and a pillbox hat with silver gray faille top and jacquard trim around the sides in complimentary colors to the dress. She carries a black knit fabric purse that is trimmed across the top with a beaded black braid and little snippets of fabric. It does not open and is very lightweight so that her weak elbow joints will allow her to hold it. The second outfit is a two-piece fitted suit made from a silvery gray vintage rayon faille (my favorite vintage fabric). Both pieces are fully lined, and it has a sewn-in label that reads An Original by Rosaleida. This lady is an awesome designer and seamstress who can make an outfit just by looking at a picture. The skirt has an unbanded waist and one snap in the back. The jacket has two snaps and a black sequined applique for decoration on the right side. Tiny beads are at the end of each sleeve. The pillbox hat was a part of this outfit, but also works very well with the shirtwaist dress. There is also a matching purse which opens. It ha a snap under the jacquard flap. This outfit was originally made for modern Cissy, so the sleeves were too long for Dollikin. Being fully lined, looked like it would never work to shorten the sleeves, so I used elastic thread on the inside seam to shirr them and make them shorter. They still need to be pushed up and primped a little when you get the jacket on the doll. I also added a black crystal bead necklace to complete this outfit. I think I have covered the waterfront and given you ample information for considering this doll. As always, the doll and outfits are prettier in person. This is a lovely Madame Alexander Blond Cissette Doll in #913 Red Cotton Drop Waist Dress. Her beautiful facial color includes pink lips, strong blush, and painted underlashes. She is dressed in a very clean and crisp tagged #913 red cotton dress with a square neckline filled with shirred val lace, full gathered circle skirt, drop waist, and all the square snaps. The books say the dress is very hard to find on page #150 of the Cissy Files, but I think it is rare. The dress is in excellent condition with no rips, holes, or odors, the elastic is still stretchy, the lace is pretty. There are a couple of tiny brown spots on the sleeve and bodice of the dress, shown in the last two photos. They may soak out in oxiclean. This is the prettiest Madame Alexander Margaret doll I’ve ever seen. She’s a vintage Princess Margaret Rose. She comes wearing her original light blue organdy/nylon dress with attached satin blue petticoat, blue satin panties which tie in the back, socks, blue Mary Jane shoes with bows and straw hat with replaced flowers. The cascading ribbon attached to the hat can be tied in a bow around her neck if desired. Her dress is in fair to good condition but displays nicely. There are a few small tears in her skirt and on the right lower side there is a small hole and what looks to be a few repairs. Most of these flaws are well hidden in the folds of her dress. I pulled out the skirt in order to take the last picture. The elastic in the puffed sleeves has relaxed and there are some tiny tears. Part of the middle snap on the back of her dress is missing. The dress is a bit faded and the original flower at the waist shows age. The dress is tagged however the tag is frayed and hard to read but if you look closely, the Madame Alexander name can be seen. Her hat is in very nice condition with replaced flowers. Still has its elastic chin strap which is no longer stretchy. Her shoes show some age. The snaps are present but have come unglued from her shoes and are attached to the straps. As the photo shows, this is hard to notice when the doll is standing since the straps lay nicely across her feet. This doll is in very good condition and has a gorgeous face with lightly blushed cheeks and red lips. Her green eyes have a touch of yellow. They open and close and all her dark lashes are intact. Her lovely blonde mohair wig is in its original style with pink vintage cabbage roses and original hair bars. She’s strung well and holds poses perfectly. She displays so beautifully. I’m being picky here but want to include everything that I notice. There is a very tiny scratch or mark of some kind on the left side of her nose. I never noticed this until I started carefully examining her for these pictures. It’s very hard to see…. Probably something that occurred during production. It’s extremely hard for my camera to capture it but if you look carefully at the 2 close-up photos of her face, it can be seen. LOVELY MADAME ALEXANDER 19″ – 20″ VINTAGE CISSY DOLL – 2 TAGGED ITEMS & EXTRAS. Take a good look at the pictures and my written info. This is a Beautiful Cissy Doll with extra clothes for her… I believe she is around 1958 and she is wearing a chimese. She comes with her tagged yellow dress and her yellow homemade slip… She comes with a white long sleeve shirt with a pleated shirt and a belt which are homemade… There is also a blue blouse and a tagged orange/red type long pants and the blouse has a type of stain in back… She has type of blonde type hair, beautiful green/blue color eyes, has her eyelashes, her eyes are wonderful, has knees bend and bend elbows, she has no cracks in legs or arms, only when looking inside hip area there is some on legs at ends… But this has been there for a long time… She has the only white pair of shoes she is wearing and there is no others.. Oh, I forgot to meantion the clothes are for sale, but (my clothes stands are not included — last picture) & not included is the stand that my doll is on.. Everything is in good shape..
