Vintage 1940s Madame Alexander Scarlett O’Hara Doll 18 Composition Doll. This old vintage doll is in very good overall condition. She features a wig of long black hair and green sleepy eyes. She has real lashes but she is missing a few on her left eye. Her eyes are clear and not cracked. They open and close as they should. She has single stroke painted brows and a closed bow mouth. Her composition is in very good condition but not perfect. There is a crack to her right foot, a scuff to her back and some light crazing to her body. Luckily her face is virtually free from visible crazing or cracking. Her stringing is good. She can stand and balance independently and hold a pose. She has all of her fingers and toes. She is wearing a vintage homemade green antebellum dress with crocheted trim and intricately made undergarments. Her green dress is very well made but somewhat faded from the sun. The rest of her outfit consists of matching green pantaloons, a custom 2 layer petticoat with detachable bustle, a straw sun bonnet and black leatherette shoes with bows. Gorgeous Vintage Madame Alexander Wendy Ann 17 Doll! She is all composition. Some crazing is present; unsure if was repainted. Her wig original mohair and is glued to her head. Her face paint is beautifully preserved but her lips might need some paint work. Sleepy eyes mechanism is working but occasionally eyes open only partially. Real upper lashes are all intact. Marked on her neck MME Alexander. Wendy Ann comes with her original bridal gown, stockings, flower bouquet. Not sure if veil os original but is definitely vintage. One of her shoes is missing part of the dole/heel. Some and stains holes to outfits. Please refer to pictures. Additional photos could be provided upon request. Vintage 1940s Margaret OBrien 18 HP Doll By Madame Alexander, Orig. This hard plastic doll is in excellent condition. She has soft brown hair in bundled braids with bangs. She has green glass sleepy eyes, painted lower lashes, single stroke brows, rosy cheeks and a closed rosebud mouth. She has a full set of real lashes and her eyes open and close as they should. She is dressed in her original untagged dress. It is a blue cotton short sleeved dress with a sheer white organza pinafore. Underneath she is wearing a netted tutu type petticoat, white eyelet trimmed panties, white socks and black shoes. Origin of the hat and shoes is uncertain if original. She is marked ALEXANDER on her head. She has all of her fingers on both hands. She has no visible marks, cracks or blemishes. Her finish is super. She can stand and balance independently. I don’t know much about dolls, but this was my mother’s and she was born in 1943. She obviously wasn’t allowed to play with her much because she is in really good shape. I believe all of her clothing is original, though I do not know that for sure. She has a petticoat and pantaloons under her dress. Her clothes could use a good ironing, but I didn’t want to attempt it. I would really love for her to have a better life than that! Her joints work well. She has some uniform light crazing on her face and legs, but I don’t think that detracts from her at all. There is also some pink staining on her socks and some wear on the bottom of her shoes (see pics). Overall a really nice looking doll that I would probably pass down to my one of my children had I not had two boys. They think she is creepy! She measures 21 tall. She has beautiful facial coloring with some very light crazing in her composition. There are no flakes in her composition. Her clothing and hat are in very nice condition. Her pretty brunette floss hair is still in the original set. Her stringing is still very nice, but I did not have the right size of doll stand and didn’t want to take a chance with this very special doll. Her eyes open and close nicely. She does have one long narrow crazing mark on her left leg (see the photo). The original owner was a family member who loved child film star Margaret O’Brien and treasured this doll.
