VNTG 1953 Madame Alexanderkins Strung Doll Tosca / Lt Auburn Triple Stitch Wig. This 1953 chonky heavy little beauty is in Excellent GORGEOUS condition. Her Tosca color hair is very nice, (looks more red in photos than in real life) She has slightly rosy cheeks still. Her eyes work perfectly. No major stains or splits, her body has some imperfections from original manufacture that look like scratches, but they are not, and normal for this plastic. She is simply GORGEOUS. Vintage 1950′s bent knee Walker Alexander-Kins wearing a tagged gown number 602 “Flower Girl”. Gown is satin with organdy lining and pink ribbon. I have added a slip for fullness. Her panties are white cotton. She has wrist tag which I believe is original. Her socks are rayon. There are flowers pinned into her hair. Her wig is in original set, her coloring is good. G’day from Down Under….. Hope all my doll friends are keeping safe. I’m getting old (sigh) and it’s time to pass on the last 56 of my much loved alexanderkins. I know when I depart this mortal coil that none of my kids or grandkids would be interested in these dolls so they could end up in the trash!!! , so I’m hoping there will be a collector who will want and love them as much as I have. First on offer is this all original Little Southern Belle Type from 1955. I think she is stunning!!! She is featured on page 38 of Patricia Smiths MA book, and is a straight leg walker. Her dress has inset lace in the skirt, and also features a flower corsage at the waistline, and tiny rhinestones – two on corsage and one on front skirt. The pictures tell the story, but I will outline any details that the photos don’t show. Her straw hat is original, and is in very good condition, with a band of flowers featured on the brim, flowers that are repeated at the waistline. The tag on the dress doesn’t appear to have been washed, and both studs that close the bodice back are intact. Half slip elastic has relaxed and a previous owner used a pin to ensure that it stayed in place. Panties are in good condition, but shoes are a little worn. When I unpacked her (all dolls were boxed for a house move) I noticed that the band holding her arms in place was broken, so – with what I had – I did replace the rubber band but her arms are still loose, so I would expect the new owner might choose to replace it. I need to mention that there is a tiny spot of rust on the hem of the skirt which you can see in the pictures. I don’t do this unless the whole garment is affected, since I prefer my dolls to be as original as possible. Doll stand comes with the doll. Lots of hugs, Lorraine. Heres a darling Madame Alexander doll wearing a tagged Alexander Kins outfit from 1955 “Wendy Loves Her Cardigan” #467. This outfit is in good condition but it does have some holes from age and storage and has not been laundered. The outfit consists of a beautiful pink dress with darling pleated skirt and a nicely white bodice. The outfit is topped with darling cardigan with pink and white floral appliqué trim that does have a few holes. In the pamphlet it says this outfit came with a pixie cap this is missing. She comes in her original box with pamphlet. Which are in very good condition. She has been in storage for awhile. She has not been cleaned and her legs seem a little loose. Probably needs to be restrung. I do not know how to properly clean the doll and clothes without ruining them so I will leave this to the new owner. What a darling little doll to add to your collection. This is vintage and preowned so is not perfect and may show signs of wear and tear from age & storage. Please view all photos.
