1930′s Alexander Doll Co. Antique PRINCESS ELIZABETH 24 all composition strung. This very well cared for antique composition doll is in excellent condition. This “Little Flower Girl” has spent 50 of her 80+ years displayed on her stand, in a glass cabinet (smoke free environment). Let’s look at any problem areas first. There is some normal age related crazing on her head, upper body, and limbs. Please enlarge photos to examine. Her upper legs have some wear & her left upper lashes have some thinning & a small missing “clump” of hairs. Lower lip has two small nicks in the lipstick. Her human hair wig is shedding a bit when brushed, but the hair is clean and very full. The wig itself has a lose edge that will be simple to reglue. She is strung, but it has loosened over the years. She can be posed but may need a tighter stringing after getting settled in her new home. This huge doll 24! No cracks, breaks or missing parts. The composition colouring is even throughout her entire body. All fingers/toes are there with no chipping amazing! , and no chips in facial areas (left eye as noted). Her facial makeup is still clear, bright & Rosie. Her beautiful sparkly clear blue eye close when asleep and open wide when awake. Full lashes on the right. Left side noted above. She has an open mouth with red lips, a visible tongue and 4 perfect white teeth. She is wearing a 50+ year old custom made Flower Girl gown with matching onesie and attached full petticoat slip, and we believe she is wearing her original pink leather button shoes with vintage white stockings. Side-glancing (googly shaped) eyes glancing to the side and. Felt and cotton outfit complete with matching felt shoes with spats. This sweet faced, early cloth doll has her original yarn hair beneath her original white bonnet with trim. Has blonde hair with scalloped bangs and long braids. She has a comical expression, molded pug nose, long eyelashes and rosy cheeks. She also has molded flat feet to stand and mitt-shaped hands with separate thumbs. Susie has red striped legs. She wears her blue cotton. Dress with pleated skirt and attached white organdy petticoat and panties and white felt collar beneath her fitted yellow felt jacket with blue felt covered buttons and white felt spats with three button closures over her black felt shoes. She is in very good condition with no stains and no odors as she is from a smoke free home.
