SHE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND HAS HIGH COLOR. SHE IS HARD PLASTIC AND PRODUCED IN THE 1950′S. SHE IS REALLY A BEAUTIFUL DOLL. SHE IS FROM MY OWN COLLECTION THAT I BEGAN IN THE LATE 1970′S.

Madame Alexander Little Women set of 6, Marme, Jo, Beth, Meg, Amy and their sweet boy next door, Laurie! Six Beloved characters from Little Women! You loved Little Women growing up, now you can have these old friend in your home, or share with her daughter and granddaughter. Some have some of the original paperwork in the box, but not all. Several boxes have minor tears or bends. NOTE: ALL will need to be restrung soon, but it very good condition. Here is detail on each doll. Amy – bent knee model 781- very loose rubber bands, NOTE: Will Need ReString Soon, could break in transit- with box. Beth- bent knee believe to be model 781 -no original box- stand included. Jo- bent knee model 781 – with box. Meg- bent knee model 781- with box. Marme- bent knee- tiny light spot on the front on her apron – model 781- with box (a couple of small tears on the box). Laurie – straight knee -410- missing one shoe – box lid does not fit box exactly, not original lid. NOTE: Again, ALL will need to be restrung soon, the rubber bands get weak, just over time. This is a lot of 5 tall Madame Alexander dolls dating to 1948, from the popular film “Little Women, ” originally a book series by Louisa May Alcott. This incredible set includes. Jo, wearing a plaid taffeta dres with black trim, white petticoat and bloomers, black shoes with bows and a black hair net. She has reddish-blonde hair and green eyes. She has scuffing to her skin, including face, and her clothing has significant discoloration/fading. A fabric Madame Alexander tag with her name on it. Meg, wearing a pink dress with textured off-white pinafore apron, white petticoat and bloomers. She wears black shoes with bows. She has blonde hair and green eyes. Clothing has significant discoloration and her hair net is falling apart. She has scuffing to her skin, including face. Amy, wearing red gingham cotton dress with white puffed sleeves and lace trim, white petticoat and bloomers, black leather shoes with black bows. She has blonde hair done in an elaborate looped curl style and bright green eyes. She has one black hair bow on one side (the other may be missing or may never have been included). Fabric has discoloration and fading. Skin has minor scuffing, including on face. Beth, wearing a green floral print cotton dress with pink ric rac trim, lace details and pink buttons, white petticoat and bloomers (bloomers have pink satin ribbon trim), black leather shoes with dark bows, and a pink satin hair band. She has strawberry blonde hair and green eyes. Dress and bloomers have significant discoloration, skin has minor scuffs. Has a fabric Madame Alexander tag with her name on it. Marmie (presumed; this is the only doll without a name on its tag), wearing a golden yellow dress with black braid and bodice accent, white petticoat and bloomers, black patent shoes with velvet bows and a green lace shawl. She has auburn hair and green eyes. Part of her black hair net appears to be missing, and petticoats/bloomers have yellowing. Gown and trim have some fading. Has Madame Alexander cloth tag and store paper hang tag. Joints appear to be in good condition. CONDITION: Dolls are offered in as-found, good vintage/antique condition, with wear and patina commensurate with age and use. Some sleep eyes are a little stiff, wear and discoloration is present on some dresses. No major damage has been noted to the dolls themselves, but we did not undress them. Vintage 1948 Madame Alexander Margaret Face doll. Tosca hair, stitched part. Wearing tagged original dress. Original black side snap shoes. Presented here is a fabulous 1948 Madame Alexander Margaret face doll. She has Tosca or light brown- light reddish hair. With a stitched part wig, still in the original lovely curls, smooth with a nice sheen, excellent wig. The blue eyes open and close freely, full upper lashes, painted under lashes, single stroke brows, coral mouth, nice coloring. The doll is all hard plastic, good strings, holds a pose well, no splits. She is wearing the original tagged dress made of fine cotton, it is a floral print of roses and violets with attached ivory slip, buttons on the front, full circle skirt. The petticoat has buckram inside the hem. The clothing is excellent with crisp body, no stains, no tears, clean, sturdy. Underneath she has her original linen pantaloons with eyelet lace hem and blue bows. Her shoes are shinny black. With side snaps, front bows. She has her original rayon socks. Madame Alexander Little Women Set From 1949-50′s. 14 Inch Hard Plastic Dolls. Marme Meg Jo Amy Beth. Madame Alexander “Little Women” set. Five 14 dolls include, Marme, Meg, Jo, Amy and Beth. All 5 doll dresses are in FAIR/POOR condition. All dresses have holes, rips, tears, stains, fading, etc. Jo’s has a lot of holes-please see photos. All dolls socks are in very poor condition- they are stained, mismatched and have lots of holes. Megs hair is stiff. Amy has lazy left eye and gap in bangs. Beths eyes need a little help opening. One of Beths shoes is missing bow. The dolls, pantalets and shoes are in nice condition with the exceptions listed above. Dolls have been restrung with surgical tubing bands. Actually display surprisingly well considering the condition of the dresses. All clothing has been hand washed. All dolls have a slight attic/storage odor.
