This doll is often referred to as “The Black Widow” because of her black dress. She is pristine and all original, and includes all of her original accessories which are often missing including her original hangtag. This is a very clean doll with a beautiful ruby lips, pink cheeks, clear blue eyes original eyelashes, no touch ups all original. She looks like the day she came out of the factory. There are no cracks or splits. Her clothes are immaculate no holes, rips, tears, stains, or odors to the clothes or the doll. The original bob wig has never been combed out or re-styled. The flowers on her hat are mostly pink and it still has the original chin strap. She still wears the original ring from 1955 with the hankie attached, and rhinestone bracelet. This is very rare to find in this condition with all of the accessories. The band on this ring is not a smooth circle and the stone is not in prongs. I believe this ring was only used in 1955, Cissy’s debut year. Her tagged black taffeta dress, black shoes, stockings, ric rack pink petticoat and pink taffeta panties are original to this doll. The lucite purse which is very hard to find contains the original comb and sunglasses. Also included is a bit of nostalgia shown in the last photo a note from the original owner saying who bought the doll for her, and when and where. The purse has glue on the back pictured in the photos. The photos are the main description please examine them carefully. This doll is a rare find in this condition with all of the original accessories. Thank you for your interest and I wish you much Cissy happiness. VINTAGE MADAME ALEXANDER CISSY DOLL IN BLACK VELVET, NET GOWN, JEWELRY, SHOES. Up for sale is a vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll in a tagged black velvet and net gown with pink lining. There are some holes in the netting, and some wear spots on the black taffeta underneath. The flaws are minor in my opinion. She may need to be lightly cleaned, but overall, I would say that she is in very nice condition. Her eyes are clear and her lashes are full. She comes with jewelry, hose and shoes! Beautiful Cissy with tosca wig in original, tagged, black taffeta dress known as the Black Widow, #2091 made in 1955 for Cissy by Madame Alexander. Tagged afternoon dress of taffeta with deep pleats is accented with a pronged brooch at the neckline. She also wears a pink hat, pink can-can slip of taffeta and tulle, taffeta panties trimmed with Val lace, seamed nylon hose and shoes. She has her original wrist tag, carries a hankie attached to her wedding band and a nice replacement of her lucite purse. A wonderful example of this beautiful Alexander doll. Condition: The doll is generally in excellent condition with no damage noted, hair is slightly mussed. The elastic in her panties has relaxed as well as the elastic in her shoes which has been tied in bows at the ankle. See pictures for best description.
