Vtg 1950′s Madame Alexander ELISE 15 Doll Hard Plastic w Jointed Vinyl Body. Doll is in nice clean working condition. She has not been restrung and still has her original band inside arms. Her eyes are nice and bright with full lashes. She has a light complexion with nice face paint. Her joints are good. It does take a bit of gentle pressure to put her in a sitting position. I put the right leg in first then the left leg goes more easily. Other than that, she will need a doll stand to display. Her outfit is not tagged and is a beautiful sea blue green color. It appears to be made of organdy where her slip is made of satin. I’ve replaced her nylons and shoes. She comes with a nice faux white shawl. She is a very nice doll. There is a marked difference in color. The head has a more high color flesh tone while the body is the classic lighter flesh porcelain for which Gene is known. The back of this dolls head is marked 25520 M. I have never seen another doll marled like this. She is very rare! Her body was all cracked. So I decided to save her head and shoulders. I put them on a Madame Alexander Pussycat body that someone had destroyed the dolls eyes and hair. I custom made her clothes. Her dress and bonnet are Capital Imports fairy swiss pink batiste. The lace is also Capitol Imports swiss Cotton lace. I have spent many hours creating this doll. She is truly one of a kind. She comes with her bracelet, vintage pacifier and articulated sheep and clothes. Crib and bedding not included. I also put a new German crier so she cries when you pick her up or lay her down. This doll is in good shape for her age but she is not in perfect condition she does have some boos boos here and there.
