Edition Size 65, This is no. Lissy, Butterfly Kisses, is a 12 inch doll with elbow and knee joints. She has sleep eyes and is made of hard plastic. She has light blonde hair styled in a braided up do with ringlets framing her rosy complexion. Her blue eyes and red lips complete her charming look. Common to dolls of this era, Lissy’s eyes prefer the open position, close with help. Her lavender checked dress is accented with “pearls” and crochet lace. She wears white stockings and white and black side button boots. Lissy’s butterfly is attached to her right hand. The right wing has a separation but it is intact. As the 2007 convention was held in New Orleans, I believe Lissy is a nod to the Butterfly Pavilion at the Audubon Zoo. This beautiful doll is Minty and Very Rare from the Jarvis years. There is a handwritten card from the dress designer, Pat Mathisson. I removed Lissy from her box one time, she is superb. My home is smoke and pet free and all dolls are stored inside in a climate controlled closet. Cushion packing inside and out.

She is listed in the book “Cissy Files” as the 1958 variation. She is all original except for her vintage shoes. I have her original shoes and those will be sent with the doll. No cracks or splits. 21 Alexander Cissy Peony & Butterfly Wedding Gown Mint With Box and COA #284/2500 From 1997. This beautiful redhead Cissy wears an incredible pink and white check China silk gown with beading and pearl embellishment, billowing trim decorated with pink butterflies. She carries a bouquet of peonies, wears a gold and pearl necklace with matching earrings, her veil is topped with pink and yellow buterflies. She has her box and COA #284/2500. In the Cissy files book, it states that this outfit is a very sought after dress in a modified shirtwaist design with tiny pintucks on the front bodice. The dress features vertical Val lace and an attached velvet ribbon. Rhinestones accent the notched sleeves and are placed in a vertical pattern down the center of the bodice. The Cissy files state this dress is hard to find and the hat is rare. Her dress has three-quarter length sleeves. She has her flocked and tulle slip. Cissy has green eyes and red hair. Her eyes stick a little, they open fine but need to shake her a little/gently to get them to pop open. The shoes have the elastic straps, no stretch in the elastic to the shoes or around the tops of her stockings but the stockings stay up just fine. Please look at the picture of the shoes. The heels and soles are scratched up some. The tops look fine. The elastic around the top of the slip has no stretch and her panties no stretch around the top. Both the slip and panties stay up the fine. The top of the hat looks faded. Her dress is a pale purple. However I looked it over and the color is the same light purple all over. I showed it to my sister in law and she said if it was faded the fabric in the hem would be brighter. The hem has the same light color as the rest of the dress. The last picture is just showing a matching Cissette and Elise doll that are in separate auctions. This is a 21 Gorgeous Madame Alexander Cissy doll #2232. She is from the 1950s I think 1958. She has on her original tagged rare and hard to find purple Butterfly shirt dress with three quarter sleeves that snaps in the back with all snaps. Rhinestones, velvet and lace accent the front of the dress. She has panties and the correct flocked and tulle slip that came with this outfit. She has her nylons and original lavender shoes, beautiful and not stretched out. She has her original dark purple straw hat with flowers and tulle trim that ties around her neck. She has a beautiful face with clear eyes, all her top and bottom painted lashes, good brows, pink lips and rosy cheek color(upon a closer look she has a very small mark between her ear and cheek on her face that may or may not come off). She has shiney brunette hair in original set, the back has fallen some. Her rhinestone earrings are original but I added the ring that is white crystal with real blue sapphires on each side. I have had her in my collection for a very long time and have never undressed her but every thing looks good. A truly wonderful Cissy doll. The dress is nice and crisp with no stains, tears or repairs that I can see. She is an almost perfect example of this doll and outfit. Her head is really loose so Im sure she will need restringing. She is 60 years old but a really nice doll. I have not collected dolls for a while so might have missed something important to you, so please ask questions.
