Madame Alexander Dolls

This doll is not for the mint collector but would still make a nice addition to a modern Cissy collection. I believe everything else is original and is complete. Also one eye does not stay open and is crooked (see photos).

Offered here is the yellow wreath dress from 1957, which was a boxed extra for Madame Alexander Cissy. This dress has been seen with several different sashes, but this dress has the yellow moire taffeta sash, which was one of the prettiest, in my opinion. The puffed sleeves have their original good elastic, and the five square snaps that close the back are all secure. Has a nice, bright tag that indicates no laundering, but the original light polish to the fabric seems mostly gone–likely due to pressing at times over the last 60 years. Is in very good condition with no issues noted and would look great on your Cissy with a nice can-can to make it stand out. Please ask any questions, and thank you for looking. I just added her original wig from Madam Alexander. Its brand new and never been brushed. Has a few fly away places. Very nice trucks trunk set. She was done very nicely she seems very tight. Vintage Madame Alexander Coutour Collection Cissy’s Secret and Armoire. This beautiful collection is one of the most beautiful collections by Madame Alexander. Set includes all outfits shown in photos, ONE doll, and one armore. The main photo is the one in the brochure. Pink tissue paper with sticker is original. Includes three papers related to product original. The armoire box is a beautiful pink that shows some slight wear and some glue areas that are dried out and a few marks on the interior. (as shown) There is a small blue stain on outside of box, and the inside shelf needs to be glued down. Original label and mirror attached. There is a removable pink ottoman that has a lid that raises up with cording and pink pleated skirt. There are 6 curlers in plastic that has never been open. A vanity set with a brush, mirror, make up puff, container with lid, purfume spray bottle. There is a tall bust on a stand with the gown that came on it. Cissy doll is a 21 hard plastic doll n beautiful condition. She has her original hair done and has never been brushed. She is wearing a pink headband. Her makeup is pristine and her face is beautiful. Her neck is firm and does not droop or wobble. She has painted nails, both fingers and toes. She is in her original clothing and has never been undressed. She is wearing a pink headband and her original earings. Cissy has on her original bustier and matching panties with a garter belt, and thigh high stockings. She is wearing a flowing robe with pretty pink trim. (The trim is separated in one small area as shown in photo). Doll has joints and comes from a non smoking home where she lived in her armoire for the five years I have had her. The clothing that comes with her besides what she is wearing are as follows: A pink teddi with lace, a white slip with a pink bow, Two additional pairs of stockings, a long white lace nighty with pink bows, a pair of pink panties with a matching pink bra, a package with a pink bow (never opened-I don’t know what is in it), a pair of little slippers with pink fluff attached, a pink and grey teddi with matching robe. This Cissy dress from 1955, has not been washed, and the fabric has nice body and vibrant color. Its only issue is “flea bits” in the organdy of the left sleeve and some scattered “flea bits” on the skirt, mainly on the right front up toward the waist. Have no idea what caused this, but this was the condition when I bought it. As with most of my Cissy dresses, this one was stored and never used by me for display. Its snaps are secure (3), and the little black velvet bows on the shoulders are in very nice condition. The tag is in excellent condition. The dress has black belt loops and probably had a belt at one time. It now has a silky satin ribbon to tie in a bow at the waist. The skirt is ultra full. The sleeve elastic has relaxed slightly, but they still have nice puff. I have photo’d the flaws. In one pic, there is a mark showing near the hem on the skirt that is actually a little crease that needs to be pressed out. The “flea bites” on the organdy sleeve are really enhanced by the camera, but do not stand out on the doll. Even with these imperfections, it is still a lovely dress to have in your Cissy’s wardrobe. If you have questions or want additional photos, please le me know. My home is non-smoking, and there are no odor issues with the dress. The Cissy doll modeling is not included. Also, the blue hanger that snuck into one of the photos is not included in the listing. Thank you for looking and considering. She is wearing the rare blue version of this pleated bridesmaid dress, slip, and panties. She carries her original shoes that have stretched and cut elastic, with a little wicker flower basket. This slip is exceptionally pretty with the dotted swiss tulle ruffle on the inside, elastic a bit stretched from age but stays up. The flowers on the bodice of her dress have been re-placed with vintage flowers with tiny rhinestones here and there very pretty. There are no holes tears or rips in the dress that I can see. The slip is tagged but the dress is not. A wonderful addition to any Elise collection don’t let her get away. The pictures are the main description. Questions are welcome and thank you for looking.
