Madame Alexander Dolls

Listed here is a complete outfit, including tagged dress, for your vintage Cissy doll. I see some of these pieces come along fairly often, but this outfit is exceptionally nice, and I hope you’ll consider it if you’re looking for this particular one. The sheer green dress is nylon with pink flocked flowers. It is trimmed in green lace around the neckline and puffed sleeves, and it is lined in the bodice in chartreuse taffeta to match the companion slip and lace-trimmed panties. There are four square snaps down the back, all secure. A pink satin ribbon defines the waist and ties in a generous bow in the back. Its original corsage and greenery are in excellent shape. The straw hat is adorned with the same pink silky satin ribbon and has its original floral trim that looks great. The chartreuse taffeta slip and panties have had their elastic replaced with vintage pink rayon and rubber elastic, and it is nice and tight in both pieces. I have added to the mix a pair of vintage pink high heels with excellent elastic and a vintage gold-toned watch with pink elastic band. Never did like the look of the black high heels with this pretty dress. The dress, slip, and panties have not been washed. I started to press the ribbon streamers before taking the pictures, but I don’t think they have ever been pressed, and I wanted the purchaser (if there is one) to have the honor of doing that. The sleeves of the dress have had elastic woven through the stretched original elastic to give the right fit. I don’t see any spots, stains, tears, holes, frays, or other on the dress, slip, or panties. The slip could use a very light press. The lighting for the pictures is not doing the fabric justice. I have shown a close-up in two pictures of the fabric to show you that the little lines are present. They seem to appear and disappear according to the lighting. The Cissy doll that this outfit originally came on is modeling in the pictures, but she and her stand are not included. 1950′s Madame Alexander LISSY Doll In Original Tagged Dress. Sweet Lissy is approximately 11 tall with jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. She is made of hard plastic and in fantastic condition. No chew marks, stains, or damage. She has auburn hair in its original hair set, double stitch row on top, original hair bow, with some slight lifting of the wig near her ears, and some wig material showing (see photo) Her green sleep eyes work well. She comes wearing her original Lissy tagged pink and white stripe cotton shirtwaist dress with black bows, decorative buttons with scallop design down the front. No rips, or tears. She comes wearing her original sunhat that’s adorned with pink silk flowers and original gold neck strap. The strap is a bit stretched but, overall the hat is in excellent condition. She will need a new pair of shoes. Lissy is simply darling and a beautiful doll to display in your doll collection. I will be listing more “Lissy” fashions this week. This set is so cute. Cissy has several outfits with all the things she needs to go on vacation. I checked and all the items that are listed in the catalog are here. The clothes in the trunk look like they were folded from the factory. Shoes still in plastic etc. This doll has no box, but her COA is in the trunk. The catalog states she has 2 wigs. It shows her wearing a blonde wig, and with her other outfit wearing a brunette wig. She actually has 3 wigs. She seems to be wearing a honey blonde wig and the other 2 wigs are in the trunk. Not sure how you switch wigs, I dont want to mess with the hair. She said she believes the doll I have is actually morning ritual Cissy. She does look like the Yardley morning ritual Cissy without the robe, slippers etc. Which makes sense, morning ritual Wig is permanent. Cant change out wigs.
