Madame Alexander Dolls

Offered is vintage Madame Alexander Cissy, circa 1950s. She measures 20tall with vinyl arms and hard plastic body. Cissy is in very good condition all joints work, no odor, no splits only some very light overall soiling and two fingers on her left hand have tiny black spots (ink, I think). Her wig is nice and full and she retains her original pearl tear-drop earrings. Beautiful color with full lashes. She comes with her original (untagged) undies as shown. A very nice example! The outfit she was wearing when found… Tagged red polished cotton dress, flocked petticoat, one shoe and one stocking… Please view photos carefully as they are the most important part of the description. Madame Alexander Blonde Margot in her Silver Lamé Ball Gown, Rhinestones straps! Original blonde Up-Swept Style. Margot #921 can be found on pp. “Cissette, A Complete Guide to the Vintage Alexander Dolls” published in 2007. Margot is jointed at her neck, arms, hips and knees. Her Facial Coloring is just Fabulous! She has full Dark Pink Lips, Vibrant Cheeks, Painted Upper and Lower Lashes with Blue Eye Shadow and Feathered Brows. Her Nails are Painted. The Gown does have a slight slight blemish. I dont think its a stain I think its the lame. Its in the front center please look at the photos. Margots Silver Lamé Gown is fully lined with white Organdy. Her Earrings are her original Rhinestone Clover Leaf not the typical three diamond earrings, but the hard to find Aquamarine in the middle of each setting, which matches her Blue Velvet Floral Brooch attached at her waist. Don’t you deserve a vintage CISSY doll for your special holiday GIFT… Just waiting for you to dress her in holiday glamour! She is NOT perfect nor mint but in very nice vintage condition. There are some minor reddish marks on her back and you may need to do some minor cleaning here and there… Nothing major at all. Cissy has a fancy hairstyle with some flyaways. There is a gap in the hair on left side of her head and you can see the wig fabric… Maybe the hair can be moved towards the center to close the gap. I added a better close-up picture of this flaw. Her eyes are green and not bright as they originally were. She has nice brows, cheek and lip color. Her stringing appears to be fine and her legs may be a walker-type… Her head has a tendency to move back down if you move it up. I do not notice any particular splits or cracks in neck, legs, and knees but her left outer knee shows a slight seam flaw. Her right elbow is not perfect but works. Doll is in very nice vintage condition with no offensive odors and my home is non-smoking with no inside pets. I have tried to mention everything but please zoom pictures for more details as they are part of the description or ask questions. Cissy will be packed well in a box to protect her. Marked “ALEXANDER” on back of head. Complete with original Earrings. Here’s a great “CISSY” for your collection. Her mature figure, jointed limbs and high-heeled feet made her a fashion doll classic in the 1950′s. Her body is hard plastic, and her arms are vinyl. Her head turns, and the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees are jointed. Her “sleep” eyes work well and the lashes are full – see the photos. Her “lipstick” is intact with no chips or scratches to the color. Cissy comes complete with her original rhinestone earrings. Her wig, which is detached, is a redhead. Some of the original style can be seen but the wig does need some TLC. She is wearing panties that are stretched out and certainly look her age, but I don’t know if they were original. This Cissy is in excellent condition. The only issue can be seen in the second photo – One little piece of vinyl pops out of the arm joint when the arm is lowered – it can just be pushed back in to the joint – It’s mentioned here for complete accuracy. Features are vivid and complete. Eyes are sparkling, true blue. Being from 1957 or 1958, Cissy is made of pre-colored vinyl, a hard plastic that gives her a beautiful, creamy glow. Her arms are flexible vinyl that match extremely well. Her legs bend and hold positions. No splits, no scratches, no repairs, no repaint, no odors. In her ears Cissy wears original rhinestone earrings. Her wig is smooth and full. The ribbon is replaced but as the same age as Cissy. Lashes are long, full, and lush. Lids are not scratched.
