DOLL IN BOOK IS WEARING A DIFFERENT HAT, AS STATED. THIS DOLL IS A BEAUTIFUL BLOND WITH A UNIQUE HAIRDO(PIC), CURLS PULLED ON TOP WITH A BLACK VELVET BOW. OUTFIT CONSISTS OF A PINK TAFFETA DRESS, TAGGEDALEXANDERKIN BY MADAME ALEXANDER (PICTURE), PINK TAFFETA AND LACE TRIM PANTIES, WHITE SOCKS AND BLACK SUEDE SIDE BUTTON SHOES. I DO NOT SEE A TAG ON THE COAT, AND I HAVE NEVER REMOVED THE COAT/CLOTHING. IT IS A DARK PURPLE VELVET WITH WHITE TAFFETA LINING, LARGER ROUND COLLAR, THREE PEARLY WHITE BUTTONS WITH PURPLE THREAD. THE HAT IS A LIGHT LAVENDER STRAW WITH MULTI COLOR PURPLE/LAVENDER FLOWERS, GOLD CHIN STRAP. ON THE BACK OF THE HAT THERE ARE TWO PLEATS TO GIVE IT A MORE SQUARE LOOK. IT IS REALLY UNIQUE AND SPECIAL ALEXANDER HAT. ALL CLOTHING IS IN EXCELLENT , CRISP, CLEAN CONDITION. TO MY EYE IT IS MINTY, WELL PRESERVED FOR 60+ YEARS. THE ALEXANDER BOX IS THE ONE SHE CAME WITH, ALTHOUGH, NOT CERTAIN IT IS “HER” ORIGINAL? BOXES WITH INCORRECT LABEL WERE USED FOR DOLLS ON OCCASION. 20 Inch Vintage Madame Alexander 1950s Cissy Doll Fabulous Dress and Accessories. 20-inch 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissy doll wearing a dark blue street dress, a sheer white shawl closed with a flower, full petticoat, panty, long seamed hose and heeled elastic strap shoes. Her face paint is excellent, blue sleep eyes have full lashes, red lips and blushed cheeks. The brunette wig is styled with bangs, and drawn into a chignon at the back. The body has vinyl arms jointed at the elbow, and legs jointed at the knee. Stylish accessories include a pearl necklace, a ring, a bracelet, nylon gloves and her so 1950s cat eye sun glasses. This SOUGHT AFTER vintage original Cissy doll is a RARE FIND, as they are coveted by collectors who simply cannot have enough of this elegant FASHION DOLL! This AUTHENTIC Cissy doll is circa middle 1950′s, originating from a collection including several original Cissy doll apparel items which we will be offering for sale shortly under separate listings! Cissy measures 21 tall and will come to you in a wonderful vintage two piece LINGERIE ENSEMBLE consisting of a white cotton bra with pink rick-rack trim and matching white pink trimmed panties with an elasticized waist! The outfit is accessorized with her original SEAMED NYLONS that do have a few holes and runs, but mostly at the top, and a pair of refurbished vintage elastic PINK SANDALS with original pink plastic high heels, allowing a snug fit around her feet! Cissy also wears a vintage PEARL NECKLACE most likely made by The Premier Doll Company, who Madame Alexander used to outfit Cissy with various accessories including jewelry and purses!
