Beautiful 1956 Madame Alexander CISSY. ARD PLASTIC, SHE HAS AN AUBURN WIG THAT IS SHINY AND IN ORIGINAL SET, THERE IS A RUBBER BAND HOLDING HER CURLS IN PLACE ON BAVK IF HER NECK. SHE IS MARKED “ALEXANDER” ON BACK IN NECK. SHE HAS GREEN EYES AND A FULL SET OF LASHES IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. HER PAINT IS STILL VIBRANT WITH NO TOUCH UPS, HER LIPS PERFECT, HER BODY HAS NO CRACKS OR ISSUES. HER CLOTHING IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. SHE WEARS HER ORIGINAL BLACK VELVET TORSO GOWN WITH A FLOUNCE OF BLACK TULLE AND SEPARATE SLIP WITH BUILT IN PANTIES ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. NO HOLES OR RIPS, THE ZIPPER IS WORKING GREAT. I BELIEVE HER GOWN’S TAG WAS CUT OFF. THE GOWN’S BODICE IS LINED IN A SHELL PINK TAFFETA. THERE ARE PINK ROSEBUDS AT THE NECK AND A GATHERING OF PINK ROSEBUDS JUST BELOW THE HIPLINE, WHERE THE HUGE TULLE AND TAFFETA FLOUNCE BEGIN. COULD USE A CLEANING, PERHAPS. SHE COMES WITH HER ORIGINAL SEAMED NYLONS, BLACK HIGH HEELS, ORIGINAL RING ON HER LEFT HAND AND HER PEARL NECKLACE. I BELIEVE EARRINGS TOO? This is a really pretty Auburn or Red haired Cissy doll by Madame Alexander. I really don’t know much about these dolls. She is jointed and all joints seem tight and work great. She can hold a pose. I don’t see any cracks or splits. There is some paint loss in her crotch area – probably just from over the years rubbing as she moves. One leg seems a little shorter than the other? I’m not sure why. Her auburn hair is very pretty – I think it may be in its original set. The curls are secured – for the most part – with Bobby pins. She has nice even coloring – her arms are the same color as the rest of her. She has lovely blue eyes with no missing lashes. She also has her original lace teddy in great condition – the straps are a little stretched. She us an absolutely lovely doll Please look at the pictures carefully – they are part of the description. Because this item is listed as TLC. 1950s Gorgeous Cissy doll in rare blue silk shirt and corduroy gardening overalls. She is wearing original vintage nice black alexander shoes and her original gardening hat. No stockings or panties. Outfit is tagged Cissy’s hair is nice condition but exceptionally long. The previous owner pinned it up, there’s a lot of it. It looks like lady in red hair that had multiple curls in back. It needs to be slightly restyled for fly aways Her complexion is nice and she has the double stroke eyebrows. Her eyes are nice and blue and she has thick lashes. Some normal play rubs. She is clean and free of any cracks, splits, chews, stains or odors. She has very little joint wear at legs or neck, so I would say this doll was used for display and was not played with. She has a wonderful, original matte finish to her face. Nice blush and grey eye shadow. Her hair is full and shiny auburn red. In it’s original set. Nice matching arms with blush on hands. No rips to the rubber. Her only flaw that I could point out is a factory defect on her right foot. A little smoosh to the original plastic on her toes, but it is apparent that all original paint is there. She has had her eyes replaced with vintage original Cissy eyes. Her original eyes had lost most of her lashes. These lashes are all original. Eyes are clear and bright. New bands to arms and head. She is wearing a pair of Cissy panties with a new waist band. Here today is a gorgeous vintage red haired Cissy doll made in the 1950′s by Madame Alexander. Cissy is marked at the base of her neck in the back ALEXANDER. She has very even skin tone with no discoloration, no fading and no unwanted marks. Cissy is so so so gorgeous with beautiful shinny red curly hair, crystal clear blue open and close eyes (no yellowing on the whites of her eyes), a full set of black hair eyelashes (none missing or damaged), painted lower lashes, stroked painted brown eyebrows, beautiful blushed cheeks and tiny pink painted lips. I don’t see any imperfections at all with her face. I see no signs at all of any enhancements or makeovers, I believe she is all natural and original. I have not cleaned her so there could be some light dust on her. The only imperfection I can find with Cissy is she has the start of a leg split at the top of one leg, please see the picture. I know nothing of the mechanics of Cissy’s body but her head seems to not want to stay tilted upwards real good, maybe she needs an adjustment. Cissy’s gorgeous red hair is in excellent condition with lots of curls that probably could use a styling even though it looks darling and wonderful to me, but Im not a Cissy collector. Included with Cissy is a tagged lavender taffeta dress that has no stains, no fading and no holes but there is a couple a places at the waist where the pleat has come loose, maybe there were originally flowers in those areas? Also it looks like there is a remnant of a flower at the neckline. The dress closes in the back with 4 original intact snaps. I don’t believe the dress has ever been washed but it does need pressing. Cissy came with this very nice rhinestone necklace but Im uncertain if it belongs to her. With the exception of the leg issue Cissy is in excellent excellent condition that would make a lovely addition to a Madame Alexander doll collection. Thanks for taking a look and God Bless.
