Vintage 1957 Madame Alexander Navy with White Tiered Capelet Cissy Doll. Cissy is in lovely original vintage condition wearing her tagged navy taffeta dress with white tiered capelet and floral accented straw hat. She carries a white wrist glove in one hand. She must have dropped the other one because there’s only one. She wears pearl stud earrings with pearl teardrops, a rhinestone bracelet on her wrist, original watch fob pin at her waist, her original lace slip, panties (with a couple of small snags where they stuck into her leg socket over time), perfect replacement stockings, and black strappy heels with snug elastic. Her dress and capelet may have been washed at some time but they look very nice. The lace slips never poof out the skirt sections of Cissy’s dresses so I added a little tissue under the skirt for the photos. Cissy’s face has been freshly blushed and sealed. Eyelashes are original with no thin spots. Her eyes are blue. Please look at all the photos as they are considered part of the description. I have provided large images. For your consideration is a beautiful Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy. Her auburn hair is in the original setting. Are a pretty blue with full lashes which open and close as they should. Her stringing is very good. Has no flaws that I can. See just a beautiful doll. Cissy is wearing one of the Navy Polka Dot dresses, tagged, from 1958. It is made from polished cotton with white cuffs, and to my knowledge, has never been washed as the fabric is very crisp and retains a beautiful sheen. The last picture is taken from. Her panties and shoes are made by Madame Alexander. She wears a vintage slip made of flocked material. Her hat was made from all vintage material as a replica of the original. Her jewelry, pearl necklace, pearl earrings and gold diamond ring were added. I try to describe as accurately as possible but may leave something out please look at the pictures carefully. The most important part of the description. Remember, this is a vintage doll over 50 plus years old. Perfection, as a new doll would. Welcome to my auctions! She is pictured on page 49 in the Cissy Restoration and Rarities book. She has her original watch hanging from her waist. She has her original slip and panties and white straw hat. Her elastic on slip has had some repair and also her hat. The hat had to have a spot on the back repaired with glue, as it was starting to tear. But is not really noticeable. Her dress is crisp and stiff. I have steamed it to remove wrinkles and is in excellent condition. Her hat is white straw with tiny white velvet flower trim. The doll is clean with no odors, no splits, or cracks. Her arms are clean and even color. Her face is beautiful with matte finish, one stroke brows, blue green eyes, full lashes, nice cheek blush, and full red mouth. Her hair is a honey blond color pulled back into a tight cluster at the nape of her neck. It is held with a navy blue ribbon Her jewelry is a pair of pearl earrings, “diamond ” ring and signature rhinestone bracelet. To complete her outfit are her original nylons and black Cissy shoes. She is a Shadow of the larger Cissy Doll. Cissette is wearing her tagged like new Navy Taffeta dress with a white organdie collar. The hat is Straw trimmed with white cloth flowers. She has a pamphlet about the different Cissette dolls. Her outfit is completed with a slip trimmed in lace as is her panties. The elastic is nice and tight as is her joints. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with jointed vinyl arms. She has red hair with curls that are pined in place and bangs. Blue sleep eyes that open and close with thick hair lashes, painted under lashes, nice coloring, coral mouth, the ears are pierced. She has rhinestone drop earrings and a matching necklace. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. She is wearing a beautiful tagged Cissy dress made of navy taffeta with a full circle skirt and matching bolero jacket, there are some age related flaws and a small repair on the back of the skirt but shows very well. The dress has short puff sleeves of net and seam bindings of black grosgrain, edged with black trim. Is a white cotton hoop skirt petticoat and black taffeta panties The shoes strappy black high heels with rhinestone buckles. The hat is woven with a wide brim, it is. With silk and velvet flowers and has a pale blue open weave veil. She carries a lovely faux fur stole with under tones of blue in the fur and a blue satin lining.
