Madame Alexander Dolls

This doll has always been one of my favorites. Her face is precious. She is in a box and her back is marked Alex. She is a BKW – and it works. Her Tosca hair is in the original set. She has sleep eyes and nice facial color. Wendy is wearing a green and white striped cotton dress with tiny green rick-rack trim. It is tagged Alexander-kins. It has a holly berry with leaves at the waist. Her socks are white and her shoes are black side-snap. I have never seen this doll with a hat, but this natural straw hat with berries around the brim was on her when I bought her. She looks like she is a Christmas doll. She is wearing matching green and white stripe panties and some of the elasticity has stretched. She is in a box and can be seen in Pat Smith’s World of Alexander-kins on Page 100. This doll was made in 1963 only. She is a BKW – bent knee walker. Her very dark hair is almost perfect. She has blue sleep eyes which flutter. It is so cute. Her facial color is perfect. She is wearing pale blue taffeta panties with white lace trim, white socks and white suede-like side -snap shoes. Her slip is sheer white fabric with white lace trim. Her dress is the same white fabric, is sleeveless and trimmed with white lace – two rows at neckline and three rows at bottom of dress. There is a light blue satin ribbon around her waist which ties in back. It is tagged Wendy-kins – Madame Alexander. Her white bonnet is made of the same fabric as dress and has 4 rows of white lace trim. The blue ribbon ties under her chin. There is a pink rose and some small blue flowers on left side of her bonnet. She is a bit loose but holds her pose quite well. She is in an Alexander box. Her walker still works. Stunning Mint Madame Alexander Jacqueline Kennedy #2140 – 20 Inches – NO RESERVE. Circa 1962, Madame Alexander lady doll with hard plastic torso and jointed legs, vinyl socket head and vinyl one piece arms, side parted brunette wig with shoulder length flip and single front curl, brown sleep eyes, molded eyelashes, blue eye shadow with painted side eyelashes, rosy lips and pink blushed cheeks, pearl necklace and purse, diamond earrings, diamond ring on left hand, wearing her original tagged ivory full length brocade gown, with red satin full length coat, original slip, panties, stockings and black high heeled shoes. Size: 20 inches tall. Condition: Excellent overall condition and appears to be unplayed with. The dress and coat are crisp and there are no stains or odors. Circa 1957, Madame Alexander hard plastic Elise doll with jointed legs and ankles, vinyl jointed arms, blonde saran wig with center part hairstyle, blue sleep eyes with molded eyelashes, rosy lips and pink cheeks, diamond earrings, wearing original #1636 “Junior League” tagged purple taffeta dress with tagged white coat, white fur hat with cloth flowers, original slip, underwear, sheer stockings, and purple high heeled shoes. Size: 16 inches tall. Doll is in unplayed with condition, the edge of the left eyelash is slightly bent, wig is in the original set, dress is crisp and there are no stains or odors, the back of the dress is wrinkled from being stored in box, stockings are held in place by the elastic, straps on left shoe is slightly loose tight. Box is in good condition, with some tears, staining and overall edge wear, re-glued split on side of box. These dolls were carefully stored away and come from a nonsmoking home. Size: 20 inches tall. Condition: Excellent to very good. There is some loss to right eyelashes, some wear eyelids, wig slightly pulled away at right temple, there is some dirt on her fingertips, we did not try to wash it off. The dress is crisp and there are no stains or odors. Her stockings are held in place by the elastic and the straps on the shoes are very tight. Original Madame Alexander Dionne Quintuplet Composition Dolls -NO RESERVE. Offered with a low starting price and NO RESERVE… A fabulous, original collection of Madame Alexander, Dionne Quintuplet composition dolls. They measure about 7 tall. Each has original clothing and embroidered name tag bib. The pictured, original booklet comes with the dolls, as does the bag of name tag pins. See pictures for details & condition This is a pre-owned item and not new. They all have normal wear and patina consistent with age. A couple of the shoes have damage where the snaps fell off. Cecile was pictured without a sock but we found it later in her box. Each of the four dolls comes with her original box. They boxes do have some rips and tears and show age and wear. Madame Alexander Margaret O’Brien 18 Inch Doll 1946-47 with Box No Reserve. 18 Madame Alexander Margaret OBrien Composition Doll. Dolls are not our greatest area of expertise, so please ask questions and offer additional information wherever possible. She was a child movie star in the 1940s. Alexander made her in composition in 1946-7. It appears that the clothing is faded but original. It is clear that she was played with, and while I didn’t take off her clothes, they appear to be faded but otherwise in good condition. She has a marking across her back that reads. The paper tag attached to her clothing reads. 1946 – Sears catalog – displayed OBrien Doll on one side and Directory of U. Trademarks – by – Luella Hart – Pg 29 – Margaret OBrien.
