Vintage 1950s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Hard plastic with vinyl jointed arms. Tosca wig, in original style pulled back in curls with. Tagged pink and white striped dress. Pink rhinestone earrings and pink pearl necklace. Pink and gold strappy high heels. Straw hat with silk and velvet flowers. Taffeta petticoat and satin panties. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. She has tosca hair in the original style with lovely curls pulled to the back, the hair is pined in place with the original barrette across the top. Sparkling blue-green sleep eyes that open and close, hair lashes, painted under lashes. She has nice coloring, red mouth, pierced ears with. Drop earrings and a wired pink pearl. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. Good strings, she holds a pose well. She is wearing her original pink and white stripe cotton dress, full circle skirt, buttons up the front, short puff sleeves. Underneath she wears a crisp white taffeta slip with net flounce, stain. The shoes are original pink. High heels with gold straps. The woven hat is vintage 50s. With silk and velvet flowers, pink silk ribbon. Cissy is carrying her pink sequin purse with chain handle. White straw hat with pink velvet flowers, full veil, hat pins. Pink strappy high heels with flowers on the toes. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. Stitched part red wig in short curls. She has green sleep eyes that open and close with thick hair lashes, painted under lashes, nice coloring, coral mouth, ears are not pierced. The eyes are beautiful with lighter green in the centers, sparkling bright. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. She is wearing her original 1950′s pink and white stripe dress with full A-line skirt, full sleeves, white cuffs and collar. The dress is not tagged, overall excellent condition, there is one tiny spot on the back of the bodice and one tiny rust spot on the skirt, hard to see either, the collar and cuffs may not be as white as they once were. She has the original taffeta slip with ruffled net flounce on the inside and out side of the hem, the elastic waist has been. The panties are matching taffeta they have repairs. The vintage hat is fabulous, white straw, shaped wide brim with pink velvet flowers and full white veil, hat pins. Adorable pink strappy high heels with rose buds on the toes, they are newer vintage. Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. 20 hard plastic bent knee, jointed vinyl arms. Wearing pink and white stripe tagged dress. Pink taffeta slip, nylons, pink plastic high heels, girdle. Presented here is a beautiful 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She is 20 tall, hard plastic with bent knees and jointed vinyl arms, no splits, marked on the back of the head.. Lovely face with nice color, blue-green sleep eyes that open and close freely, think hair upper lashes, painted under lashes, double stroke brows, red mouth. Her hair is blonde, it may look reddish in some of the photos, it is a golden or honey blonde color, stitched part wig combed over to the side in front, lovely curls. The dress is adorable pink and white stripes with a fitted bodice. It buttons in the front and has two square snaps, elbow length puff sleeves with cuffs. Full circle skirt with nice body. The dress is tagged; Madame Alexander. Underneath is a pink taffeta slip with net ruffle and the cutest lace girdle, nylon stockings with seams. The shoes are generic pink plastic ones from the 50′s, one has a split on the side and repaired. The clothing is all in excellent vintage condition, minor age, no noticeable damage. Cissy has been a loved doll and still has plenty of life and beautifying potential. She has her Original “Candy Striped Outfit” from 1956 less the bow-tie. She also comes with the FAO Turquoise Pant and Floral Rose Printed Sweater boxed set from 1956 minus the shoes. Extras include a pair of pink heels with a flower and lace on top but not sure what outfit these came from, red heels(also not sure of outfit) and the top (lid) part of her hatbox. I have CIRCLED IN RED every flaw/real issue I see (except 1 moth hole on the “other” sweater arm on backside not shown). All the seam splits are very minor and are approx 1/2″ long (approx 3/4″ on the hip) and there is normal stretching to shoe & waist elastic from playwear, ONE RED SHOE needs the top band reattached on outer side, hair has been played with but still extremely thick and no missing patches and workable, a 1″ hand sewn “fix at the top of the slip that you WILL see because its done with black thread, otherwise else is simply cosmetic. The only other item I’d mention is the “old” smell. NOT THE “MILK” SMELL from 50s dolls. This doll and her items came out of a trunk dated 1918. It had many pre-war & post war family items. This dolls simply smells of the trunk and the combination of all those old items. We have had her for 2 weeks and the smell has dissipated about 80% leaving her in the open so I’m sure the remainder will fade or can be washed out. I DID NOT CLEAN ANYTHING so she is overall a pretty clean doll with clean items. Her dress tag is slightly faded so if her dress (or anything) has been washed in the past, it was over 50 years ago. The clothes are not discolored, The whites are cream/off white and have not turned yellow. Mannequin holding dress is NOT INCLUDED. Please ask questions and see pics. The doll is a straight leg nonwalker, solid heavy plastic. She has a triple stitch blonde tosca wig and her stringing is good. She has pretty overall body tone with no splits. Her face has very nice coloring. Very cute doll in a very rare outfit. Has a pink purse matching pink of rickrack on the outfit. Her outfit includes a white lace fancy bonnet with original ties, a tagged romper with leg elastic still holding memory. Square snaps in the back to close the organdy top of the romper. The Jumper has three white original buttons in back. I see no holes in the organdy or cotton. There is a teeny tiny repair at the bottom edge of hem. Hard to find or see. Top stitch white velveteen with fuzzy soles and have side snaps in very good condition. A couple of spots on shoes. This item will be insured. I messed up on the wording earlier.
