Up for sale is a Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy Doll from 1955. She is 20 tall with a hard plastic body and vinyl sleeved arms. She is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows , hips and knees. She has Stunning crystal blue sleep eyes, with full lashes, perfect rosy cheeks, red lips and blonde hair in the curly bob style. She has the early painted face and her coloring is amazing!!! She is wearing ” Summer Gown” from 1955. An airy puffed sleeve gown of white cotton organdy. The bodice is trimmed with insertion lace and red satin ribbon. The dress skirt is trimmed in Val lace and tiny red roses. She carries a red satin drawstring purse, has her ” diamond” ring and wears a gorgeous horsehair hat. Her dress is lined in taffeta and she has a tulle hoop petticoat, satin panties, seamed stockings and red high heel shoes. The tagged dress is not as white as it once was and has a small age spot here and there. It has No damage, repairs or odors. She is Simply a Stunning Early Cissy!! She came from a private collection and was kept in a climate controlled, pet and smoke free environment. She has no splits, cracks or repairs. She is All Original and in Excellent Condition. Cissy is off for a summer stroll with her friends… Wearing the most perfect crisp & cool summer dress! With a white sleeveless organdy bodice paired with a pretty baby blue cotton floral skirt, what more could she ask? Underneath Cissy wears a new white taffeta & tulle slip with matching panties, vintage hosiery and her taupe sandals are spot on with her ensemble. Especially gorgeous is the strand of vintage graduated faux pearls around Cissy’s neck, which she compliments with a vintage faux pearl bracelet and faux “diamond” ring. And once again with the PERFECT hat & matching bag, what a statement she makes! This 1958 Cissy is gorgeous, with beautiful features and refreshed blush. She has a thick honey blonde wig with lots of pretty curls framing her face. She had a small hip separation at the very top of each leg, not visible as each is inside her body cavity. They have been professionally repaired. And oh my gosh, those eyes – such crystal clear baby blues with full lashes! Cissy is clean and has no odors, stains, splits or cracks. She has had professional split repair done to the top of both legs. She has new stringing to her head and arms. Her arms are a very nice match and have no splits to the rubber. She has an original Cissy honey blonde wig that is clean and reset. She has pretty blue eyes that have just a hint of amber. The eyes have had lashes repaired and the eyes have been reset. They open perfect, but are just a bit shy of closing all the way. She has had blush applied and a UV protectant matte finish applied to her face. She has no earring holes. Cissy’s new outfit consists of a red, white and aqua seersucker cotton dress, new slip, vintage panties (not Cissy issue), Cissy nylons, new aqua elastic shoes, a cute little aqua stone ring, and a new straw hat with veiling and flowers across the top. Her dress has a fully lined bodice in the same cute aqua check as her slip is made of, waist is serged, bodice closes with 4 square snaps, and the front of the dress has vintage Tiffany style crystals. The bodice has bias trim around the armholes, and a hand sewn 2 hem on the skirt. The checked slip has gathered tulle on the inside and outside of the slip, with red, vintage rick rack on the outside. Produced in 1955, she is a bent knee walker with the Wendy Ann face and marked ALEX on her back.. Her face paint is all original and she has very bright rosy cheeks. She has blue flirty eyes and her walking mechanism works fine. Wendy is wearing her original outfit which consists of a tagged lime green cotton dress with a floral cotton pinafore and lime green panties. She has fuchsia original shoes with fuzzy bottoms and wears rayon socks. She has her original wrist tag To: All Little Girls Everywhere, and her booklet from 1955 showing her photo and others created that year. This doll also came with a perky hairdo but mine has the traditional flip and is exactly as I bought her mint in box in 1991! She has shiny blonde hair and a triple stitched wig. Original set is perfect. She has lived behind glass in my custom doll room and is from a pet-free, smoke-free home. Dont miss this treasure she is fresh and crisp as the day she was made! Madame Alexander CISSY with Gorgeous Summer Dress circa 1956. Welcome to my listing! Here is honey blond Cissy in a lovely tagged drop waist dress. Cissy’s hair is in it’s original style and is neat and shiny with just a few little flyaways. I believe the ribbons are replacements, but she had them when I bought her many years ago and I have not taken them out or changed them. Her body and face are nearly perfect, with lovely blush, no cracks or splits, and nice eyelashes. She has the hang tag that was with her when I received her, I believe it is original. Dress has no holes or rips and has its tiny “rhinestone” pin on the center front. Cissy’s cancan slip has stretched elastic and does have some small holes, I have shown the largest of them in one of the pictures. My Cissy also wears her thigh high stockings and her black shoes. I have displayed Cissy, but she has now been in a box for quite a while in my doll room. She is a truly lovely doll, although not perfect or mint, you will have a hard time finding a nicer Cissy!
