This perky and very sweet 14 Alice was produced in 2001. She is one of five dolls I will be listing from Madames 2001 Storybook Collection. Her dress is crisp and like new. Her big eyes are blue and she is made of hard plastic. Her platinum blonde wig is shiny, curly, and full. She is flawless beneath her brand-new-like clothing. She stands nicely on her own. This 21 Madame Alexander Alice doll is just spectacular! This particular size was made for only one year – 1948 to 1949. She has the Margaret face and is made of composition. The fancy key she holds in one photo and her kitten WILL accompany the doll. Her dress was faded considerably, so I have re-dyed it to its original cornflower blue. This fabric took the dye beautifully and evenly.. The white collar and hemline trim were removed and re-sewn to the garment. Her pinafore crinoline apron is crisp and white, with one small hole and snag on the bodice, down in photos. This girl has all her original pieces, including socks, shoes and bloomers. She has a blonde mohair wig in very nice condition. Her eyes are clear and blue, they open and close properly, and they have full lashes. There is some crazing on her face which I have treated with craze control and have sealed, See photo. , however she has no crazing or lifting of paint anywhere else on her body. ? She is in absolutely remarkable condition for her age. The crazing on her face is hardly noticeable, as you can see in most of the photos, except for the one close-up I took, which you can zoom-in on. I have restrung her and she can hold a nice pose without a doll stand. It is difficult to find the 21 composition Alice in either the Margaret or the Wendy Ann face because of the limited time of their manufacture. It took me a LONG time to find this doll, and she would be a treasured addition to someones collection! Thank you for looking! 1952 AO Madame Alexander 20 HP SNOW WHITE Doll w/Margaret Face. This gorgeous 1952 Madame Alexander Snow White Doll is all original from her perfect and shiny hair set and original pink bow to her golden shoes! Her gown, under slip and panties have no stains or show of wear. Her creamy coloring is untouched and radiant. The threads of her gold lame laced vest have separated over time and it is unusual to find one which hasnt. Doll is in excellent condition for her age! She is a Margaret-face hard plastic walker doll, circa 1953. When you move her legs, her head moves from side-to-side, but beware – this ones head makes an entire 360! She has red hair in its original set – just perfect! She has grey-blue eyes with full lashes. Her ecru satin and tulle gown has no holes or stains, except along the bottom of the under-netting. However, it barely shows beneath the vast amount of gathered tulle material of the outer gown. Her veil has no holes or tears, but the darling cap does show a little wear, as shown in close-up photograph. She has center-snap wedding shoes, perfect stockings, and garter. Please look closely at the photographs and zoom-in for clarity. Ask questions, request additional photographs.
