This beautiful doll is from the beloved Margaret face series, often dressed as a bride, bridesmaid, or fairy queen. Size: Approximately 18 inches tall Material: Composition head, arms, and legs with cloth body Face: Sleep eyes with lashes, painted features, closed mouth, and delicate blush Hair: Blonde mohair wig with original curls, styled under a lace bridal crown with sequins Outfit: Original layered tulle bridal gown with gold sequin accents, satin underdress, stockings, and shoes Condition: The doll shows typical age wear for composition dolls, including some light crazing, minor paint rubs, and yellowing to the gown. The crown and shoes are present. The sleep eyes open and close properly. Please review all photos for details. This doll displays beautifully and is a fine example of early Madame Alexander craftsmanship. A must-have for serious doll collectors, especially those specializing in vintage composition and Alexander dolls.

I don’t know much about dolls, but this was my mother’s and she was born in 1943. She obviously wasn’t allowed to play with her much because she is in really good shape. I believe all of her clothing is original, though I do not know that for sure. She has a petticoat and pantaloons under her dress. Her clothes could use a good ironing, but I didn’t want to attempt it. I would really love for her to have a better life than that! Her joints work well. She has some uniform light crazing on her face and legs, but I don’t think that detracts from her at all. There is also some pink staining on her socks and some wear on the bottom of her shoes (see pics). Overall a really nice looking doll that I would probably pass down to my one of my children had I not had two boys. They think she is creepy! She is a thing of beauty and ready to be showed off to all your doll loveing friends. She’s a 1940s 21 inch Madame Alexander hard plastic Margaret doll. She is strung tight at the hips, shoulders and neck. She has full lashes on eyes that open and close as they should. She has no odors or breaks and no cracks. She is wearing her original underwear, nylons and shoes. She also is wearing a beautiful tagged Madam Alexander vintage white ruffled gown trimmed with lace along with a velvet ribbon on her waist with a matching Madame Alexander velvet bonnet.
