Set of 5 Madame Alexander Dionne Quintuplets Toddler Dolls with a full set of original tagged sunsuit outfits and other clothing. Produced during the popularity of the Canadian born Quints. All five Dolls all have molded painted hair, are made of composition and measure approximately 7 1/2 tall. Three of the five are missing some paint on at least one eye. The other two look pretty good. One doll body had a chunk out of the torso by the leg opening. Otherwise all the dolls are in pretty good condition. No heavy cracks, little to no crazing, no flaking paint, etc. All the dolls are loosely strung with old materials. 5 different color sunsuits with Dionne Quintuplet Doll Madame Alexander Tags, come with only 3 matching bonnets. 4 organdy dresses 3 have tags but only one still has the writing on it. 4 matching bonnets 1 dress still has yellow tint, all the color has washed out of the others. 5 flannel night gowns – untagged, I don’t know whether they came from the company or were mommy made. 1 Chemise dress untagged. 1 modern long dress untagged. 1 organdy undies with damage these may belong to a different doll but they came to me with this set. Three Sweet Dionne Quintuplet 12 Madame Alexander 1930s Toddler Dolls. Dolls all has very rosy cheek, knee and backs of hand color. These lovely dolls have sleep eyes with perfect thick eyelashes as well; original wigs that need a little bit of re-styling. Composition is in overall very good original condition with very faint fine line crazing detected with very close scrutiny. One doll has a 1/2 separation under her chin that is only obvious if you tilt her head backwards. All dolls are marked along their backs, “Madame Alexander” and very faintly along neckline what appears to be “Dionne “. Dolls are very fresh and clean packed away with care over the years. DIONNE QUINTUPLETS – VINTAGE COMPOSITION – COMPLETE SET OF FIVE. ALL ORIGINAL – CIRCA: 1935 – 1945. This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. This is a complete and original set of 5 Dionne Quintuplets. They are 8 inch toddlers. For reference see page #16 in’Doll Values’ 13th Edition by Linda Edward. I do not have their boxes. They are so cute – how can you not love them? Each has her original dress; diaper; underskirt; name bib; bonnet; and knit slippers. Each has a different color in the ribbon on the bonnet and slippers and name on bib. I had questioned the originality of the slippers but on careful examination; the ribbon on the slippers is the exact ribbon (color & stitching & color fading) that is on the bonnets. The color also matches exactly the names on their bibs. They are painted eye and molded hair. And of course, those brown side glancing eye’s. There is no repainting as examined by a black light. All have all their fingers. Two of them have a very tiny nose paint chip off (must have fallen at one point) and a third has crazing down the forehead. There is no crazing on the bodies. 5 vintage (1930′s) Madame Alexander Dionne Quintuplets with (1984 Quints 50th Birthday) May Pole. Dressed in tagged clothes with name pins. Made in the mid 1930s thru 1940s by Madame Alexander. The 5 little 7 1/2 composition dolls have curved legs. I bought these in the early 1980s at the Gaithersburg Doll Show from a reputable dealer. I was also told I would be the 3rd owner of this set of Dionnes. I have enjoyed these beautiful little babies for almost 40 years. My family lack interest in my doll collection, so I would like my babies to go to other doll collectors, who will know how to take care of them! This set is considered more rare because of the mohair wigs that were glued on over the molded hair. I bought them in the painted wooden bed, the 5 connected gold colored, tin oval picture frames with the little girls faces in them came with the dolls, I added the other stuff over the years! I do want to mention, that they have never been touched up or painted while they have been mine. They all have minor paint wear imperfections but no paint flaking on their eyes or lips, considering their age they are in good condition. I encourage all interested buyers to examine closely all the photos, by enlarging them. I have tried to make them as clear as possible! These are the Dionne Quintuplets by Madame Alexander, circa 1935. They are all composition and a complete set of (5). All are marked “ALEXANDER” on their backs. All are excellent and clean condition with very nice coloring. There are no cracks, breaks, crazing or distracting marks. One needs to be restrung and two are a tad loose. They all have their original clothing which consists of dress, slip, diaper, bonnet and bib. The bibs have their names embroidered on them. One is missing her bib. There are no odors. All clothing is very nice with no holes, tears, stains or problems. The group appears to have been put away when made and never played with. Really as nice as you will fine these.
