Presented here today is a lovely infused (not painted) 1950s Madame Alexander 20 Basic Cissy doll in her original chemise. This Cissy is beautiful and has her original wig that has never been combed out. Pink bow has never been untied. Hair is clean and shiny. The wig has been reglued, as it was lifting a bit at the temples. Cissy did receive a refreshing to her blush and sealer to protect it. She has no earring holes. Basic Cissys did not. Her eyes have full, original lashes and they are a pretty blue/green color. Her right eye sits back in her head a bit more than her left. Doesn’t really interfer with her gorgeous face or balance of it, but I did want to mention it and please look at the photo looking down on the top of her head. You can see the difference there. She has been restrung to her arms and head. Her left arm has a few little nicks on the inside edge of the upper arm. Not seen unless pulled out from the socket. She has been cleaned and she has no odors, stains, cracks, splits, or repair of such. Her chemise has been soaked clean, but does retain just a small amount of discoloring to the lace. Chemise has no holes, repairs or odors. She is also wearing her original nylons and a pair of altered pink based Cissy mule shoes. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. No smoke and mirrors, what you see is exactly what she is. Pictures are part of the description. The item “Madame Alexander 20 1950s Basic Cissy doll” is in sale since Sunday, January 10, 2021. This wonderful Cissy has been cleaned, restrung to head and arms, a bit of blush added, protective sealant applied and her wig cleaned and put back into its original style. She has no odors, stains, splits or cracks. She had a small hairline split on topof the right leg filled in. There is a small bit of vinyl missing on the inside bottom of the right arm as it goes in the socket. She is newly restrung to head and arms. She has blue eyes with original lashes. She has no earring holes. This was a Basic Cissy. They did not have earring holes. She has normal inner thigh rubs and very little neck rub. Her wig is clean and full. The heels have sparkles in them. They are just so pretty!! This Cissy is ready for display in whatever you might like to dress her in, she can handle it all! Note: Because there are so many people doing repairs on these lovely dolls and I have been asked many questions, I would like to clarify a bit of the work I do. I have had training in plastic and composition repairs and have been doing them for many years. My spa treatments are done with solvent based paints that are air brushed on, the same that are used on plastic bumpers on cars. The paint is UV protected and is permanent and will not rub off. The paint is also sealed with a UV protectant sealer. It also is permanent and will not yellow or wash off. I remove the eyes through the neck opening and replace them back the same way once eyelash and eye repair is finished. I do NOT split the head open, nor would I recommend it. I try to always think of the long term effects of my repairs and fixes. As for the clothing I make, I try to make them as close to an original design as possible. I also try to use vintage 50′s fabrics as often as I can. If I do not, I will always state so. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. No smoke and mirrors, what you see is exactly what she is. Pictures are part of the description. First let me say, Cissy resents being called “Basic” anything, as she is far from being a basic girl! This Cissy came to me with only a bit of her original outfit, that being the rose colored ribbon in her hair. She has a new reproduction of her original black chemise. I have paid attention to the most minute details of her original chemise. Ombre ribbon flowers and Tiffany set diamonds. Black satin ribbon for the trim and the straps, and three black square snaps enclose the back. Her shoes are the original issue with the black chemise. These mules have had the black lace replaced on one shoe. Heel elastic is stretched, so a small tie was done in the back. She is wearing new nylons. Cissy herself has taken a little trip to the spa. She has had new air brushed blush applied and a protective matte finish given her lovely face. Her piercing blue eyes have been reset. Original eyelashes have a very slight “hick up” in the right eye, not noticeable when her eyes are open. Cissy is clean and has no chews, odors, stains or splits. She has had 2 split repairs, one on the top of her left leg inside the socket and one at the outside of her knee on the same leg. Her wig is in its original set and has no cuts or alterations done to it. As I stated, she has her original rose colored ribbon tie at the back. She is restrung to the head and arms. The arms are nice and have no rips to the vinyl. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. PICTURES ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. I deal with vintage dolls and items. They are by no means mint dolls and I do not express them to be. I try my best to describe all the positive and negatives of my dolls.
