Vintage 1953 Madame Alexander Wendy Bride 8 inch Straight Leg Walker Bouquet Veil. Includes a vintage box. The bride matches the 1953 and 1954 larger Bride dolls that came in 15″ and 18″. She is wearing a beautiful tagged white wedding gown with lace trim, a veil that has flowers that match the bouquet, slip, panties, garter, and fuzzy bottom shoes. She is carrying a beautiful floral bouquet. This doll is beautiful. The outfit is in great condition, but does have normal age discoloration. The top of the dress has a faint brown spec that is barely noticeable. Shoes also have normal age discoloration, but are overall in great shape. Vintage box has age discoloration and wear. Madame Alexander Bride #17 55. Veil and bouquet are beautiful, the flower are forget me nots. Shes wearing her original earrings, ring, necklace garter, plus nylons and shoes. Her necklace clasp rusted (I Relaced it with another necklace from Marybel bride).. And stained her neck area a little in the front and the back. Please see the photos. Her hair although a gorgeous golden blonde is messy in the back. Probably from laying down and from removing the veil from time to time. Her skirt is amazingly fall and gathered and does not allow this beautiful V-shaped satin sash to sit as flat as I would like. I did take it and have it professionally pressed but it still does not allow for the sash to sit flat. Even with all of this she is beautiful to display and her face is so sweet. I dont think shes a Marybel, I dont know which Elise she is. Just says Elise # 1765. Dress is made of 2 layers of nylon tulle trimmed with 4 layers of gathered lace trim. But I have been told that thats actually the part number for a different doll. The box lid is missing pieces. Absolutely fantastic example of this 1955 Cissy blue tulle bridesmaid. She has the most gorgeous face, her hair is perfect, her gown and headpiece are perfect (with exception that I just noticed of a tiny spot on back of skirt – never noticed it till taking photos). She is all original with panties and shoes and the original tulle wrapped bouquet which is usually missing from this doll. I have collected Cissy for 32 years, and this is the only example of this rare accessory that I have ever seen.
