This is a 13 composition Madame Alexander doll. I have restrung her. She is all original and is in excellent condition. Some paint rub to hair but overall very nice for a composition doll of its age. Every bit of her clothing is original and her dress is tagged.

Wendy Ann walks down the aisle with her original bouquet and a Bible given to her by her mother. Everything about her is original, except for the additional petticoat I gave her that was made for Elise. It does lovely justice to the tiered peplum ivory skirt of her wedding gown. The bodice and sleeves are of ivory satin brocade and the breath-taking veil, edged with intricate lace trim has – unbelievably! The attached slip is made of a problematic cheesecloth-type fabric, which I have worked to restore. She wears nylons, a garter made by me, and her original satin slippers with satin ribbon ties. Her panties are lace-trimmed and original to the doll as well. Last, but very important is that her necklace is also original to the doll and wears the tiny bead pearls strung together that Madame so often put on her vintage brides. Her mohair wig is strawberry blonde and is styled in a braided up-do. The florals on her veil are original and before mailing her to her new home, I will give them a little puff of steam so the lilies open up nicely. Her lashes are strawberry blonde as well and are lush and complete. Any crazing – hard to find – is filled and sealed. Her eyes are a beautiful pale brown and they have not crackled through the years. You will love this dazzling little wide-eyed bride! I welcome any questions. Made from 1935-48, Madame’s twist-waist Wendy Ann doll is so appealing because of the diverse poses she is able to strike. I now have many of her in my collection – some with the molded hair and painted eyes, but mostly with the human hair wig. She is of composition and has one slightly-bent leg, and one out-stretched arm. Her blue dress with white polka dots and “white handkerchief” trimmed dress is pleated, and buttons at the back. I was surprised to find no tag on her dress, but I know it to be authentic MA, because I have seen it in pink s well. Beneath her dress, the wears a shoulder-to-knee lace-edged slip and matching undies in ivory cotton. Her smart little hat has its original blue grosgrain ribbon band, which matches the ribbon in her blonde human hair wig. I have added a few vintage flowers just under the brim. She has big brown eyes. She has some crazing on her composition, but I do not think it deters from her adorable charm. Her socks and shoes are looking very fresh. I have tried to provide photos of some of the life-like ways she can be posed. Please note that the white cat is not included in the listing. She just wandered into the photo-shoot, lol! Her face has lovely coloring, and her open/close eyes are bright and clear with full lashes. There’s a tiny mark on her left chin that’s barely noticeable. The head stringing is tight, though her arms and legs are a bit loose. Her original dress has no rips or tears, only missing one small front button. Overall, this charming 21 Margaret O’Brien doll is in very good condition and ready for display, with a stand included. This sweet vintage Madame Alexander Wendy Ann is all-original from head-to-toe! She is a 13 twist-waist early Wendy Ann with molded hair rather than the human hair wigs worn by later MA twist-waist composition dolls such as Wendy Ann and Sonja Henie. These dolls also have the painted side-glancing eyes like Madame’s Little Betty dolls and her 9 Wendy Ann dolls. The twist-waist doll was my very first favorite Madame Alexander doll when I discovered her in my late mother’s collection. She has one bent knee, one bent arm, and one arm gracefully outstretched. Hence, she is able to attain a variety of poses that other dolls cannot. Her panties and petticoat are trimmed with the same delicate looped lace trim. Her socks and black side-snap shoes are perfect. The blue-skirted dress and matching hat are flawless. The same black velvet ribbon on the white bodice of the dress is used to encircle the hat just above the brim. The doll has lovely composition and her original beautifully-colored complexion with just a hint of pink at her cheeks. The kitty pictured in one photo is a prop and NOT part of the listing.
