This beautiful Madame Alexander 8 doll is a Wendy Dressed for the Maypole Dance or Wendy Dances Around the Maypole. She is a hard-plastic straight leg walker doll from 1955 and the outfit is numbered 458. Wendy is dressed in a very light blue taffeta dress with a tiny lace trimmed organdy yolk and lace frills sewn under the hemline. A perfect coronet of rosettes on her head gives this outfit a festive flare. Wendy wears a cotton slip and matching pantaloons. Her terrific shoes have fuzzy bottoms. What a lovely doll! This elegant and dressed-to-the-nines MIB doll is a Cissy Paris, produced in 1998 by Madame Alexander to celebrate the companys 75th anniversary. At 20 years of age, she is pristine, and has likely never been on display or out of her box for long. Her gorgeous two-piece suit, elegantly-fringed scarf and very French feathered hat are exquisitely-detailed. She is completely original down to her perfect black lace panty hose and matching houndstooth heels. She comes with a breath-taking feathered and bejeweled pin (See accessories photo) and not one, but two stunning jeweled bracelets. She wears extravagant jeweled earrings with a gold feather motif and a gold necklace with matching jewel enhancer. Her wrist tag has never been removed. Along with her wrist tag is the gold 75th Anniversay medallion. She comes in her original box as well, which is in excellent condition. VALUED BUYERS, Please Be AWARE. Vintage Beautiful 1930s 18 Composition Madame Alexander Sonja Henie Dressed Doll. Here is a sweet Nineteen-thirties Madame Alexander Sonja Henie doll made in the image of the outstanding athlete. This composition doll is in very nice condition – having all her fingers, bright blushing and a lovely human hair wig. Sonja Henie was a Norwegian born. Three-time Olympic Champion (1928, 1932, 1936). In Ladies’ Singles, a ten-time World Champion. (19271936) and a six-time European Champion. Henie won more Olympic and World titles than any other ladies’ figure skater. At the height of her acting career, she was one of the highest-paid stars in Hollywood. And starred in a series of box-office hits. If you want to be amazed, watch a YouTube video of Sonja doing spins on the ice – it seems like she can spin forever! She is 18 tall, all composition and marked Alexander on her back. She is strung moderately tight so she can hold a pose but does better on a stand. She has clear brown sleep eyes with thick lashes, nice painted lower lashes, single stroke eyebrows, light grey eye shadow and brightly blushed cheeks and body. She is jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. She is wearing a pretty pink gown with silver accents, original panties, pink rayon socks with a blue stripe and black paten side snap shoes with bows. I have never seen Sonja wearing this gown before so it may not be original – although it closes with square snaps, fits perfectly and is factory made. Very pretty girl for the large doll collector. Good, lightly played with condition. Has clear, working sleep eyes with all brush lashes. Nicely painted facial features. Open mouth with six upper teeth. Missing some of the painted lower lashes on the left eye. Wig is thick, long human hair, in the original set. No broken or repaired fingers. Skin tone is even and clean, No crazing, chips or lifting. Has some paint wear at all joints. Clothing is all in good condition. The gown has working snaps but may not be original. Skirt of gown has a few tiny age related holes in the fabric – not noticeable except on close inspection. Socks have a few small dots of rust on them and small rips on the foot portion that are not seen when shoes are on. Her face paint is vivid, her eyes are blue and have all their lashes. Her rosy cheeks are lovely. I see no cracks anywhere. Her body coloring is even. I picked the ones I thought would give you a good view of her. Cissy is dressed in her original Bridal outfit named “Satin Train” from 1957. This wedding gown shows off a full gathered tulle skirt. The satin bodice is decorated with a thick trim accented with silver threads. A pleated Satin train cascades in the back of the dress. She also wears a chapel length veil with a coronet of flowers. She wears an under slip, which the elastic has stretched out and is pinned to hold it up. Her high heel shoes are in a plastic bag and will come with her. They look to be in good condition. Cissy is wearing her original pearl earrings, but on one side, the little teardrop is missing. She is wearing a pearl necklace and I believe it to be original to her. Her beautiful little head seems to be a little loose, but is attached. I just noticed, in the first nude picture, her hair seems to be parted a little and you can see that in the pictures. Dress is not tagged but is Alexander “Cissy” for sure based on my research. She is wearing her original under garmets as well. All are authentic Alexander under garments. The red dress she is wearing is in good shape but missing tag. No hoes or other issues noted. She has no issues that I can find, other than kinda messy hair and missing some eye lashes. All pictured is what you get with doll. Additional clothing not tagged some have square snaps. Included are : 3 nylon slips, red velvet skirt, black lace dress, organza blouse, long skirt type slip?
