This lovely gown, model 852, was presented as a “shadow” to the matching Cissy doll in 1958. Cissette has her original triple stitched blonde wig and gray blue sleep eyes with molded lashes. She has good color, painted nails, and a hard plastic body with no splits or cracks. Cissette wears the ivory satin and tulle gown with hand-painted pink and white flowers and leaves, appliqued flowers with rhinestone accents, scattered rhinestones, attached organdy underskirt, additional half-slip, taffeta panties, stockings, and gold heels. The delicate floral painting has faded in a few areas, but the gown displays beautifully. The elastic on the original gold heels is stretched and has been tacked at the back of each ankle. This is a Madame Alexander Cissy Doll. It belonged to my 95-year old mother and was in a glass case for years. While I don’t know this for sure, I have been told that it is the 1958 “Fragile and Flowery” Cissy with painted tulle gown. Cissy has a very small crack on one leg. Also, one of her shoes has come unglued. (also shown in picture). Her panties have a small hole. Her hose are in good condition. She has a beautiful face, and the paint is still bright. Her hair needs to be combed, but I was afraid to touch it since I don’t know that much about the hair. Please view pictures carefully, as I consider them to be part of the description. Cissy circa 1958 in her original glory –the epitome of eternal spring. Includes her original horsehair hat, godets, undergarments, shoes and jewelry! The only non original piece is her fabulous marquis diamond ring – I made it especially for her from a 1950s vintage rhinestone. Nothing but the best for Cissy! Tosca blonde hair in original set, and stunning peaches & cream infused complexion. She has such gorgeous, delicate features. Her sparkly, clear blue eyes still have her perfect original lashes. Her creamy complexion, with original, high color blush, eye shadow, and satiny red lips is all original and artfully painted!!! She has had no spa work! She is free of splits & cracks. Gorgeous Madame Alexander Vintage Cissy is wearing her Very Hard To Find hand-painted tulle Fragile and Flowery gown from 1958. Cissy has beautiful brunette hair with full bangs, and her spanner bar. She has lovely blue eyes and nice coloring. The doll is in excellent vintage condition. Her head is slightly wobbly, but still displays fine. The gown has the fabric flowers and rhinestones throughout, and displays beautifully. I do need to mention that the gown had a few tears in the tulle in the back, which were repaired using Fabri-Tac Fabric glue. (not by me) There are also a few holes, and a cutout in the tulle at the bottom. I have added pics to show the places, and they are all in the back of the gown, and are only noticeable on close inspection. Cissy wears her lovely horsehair hat with large pink flowers, includes her slip, stockings, white gauntlets, and “diamond” ring. Cissy will need silver heels, as the elastic was stretched out on hers. The doll is free of smoke smells, or other odors. There is no doll stand included. I feel that the doll is at a very reasonable price. If the gown was in excellent condition, the doll would be listed for a much higher price. I will consider fair and reasonable offers.
