The International Madame Alexander Dolls from Foreign Lands and Other Countries were produced over many years and became very popular collectible dolls. It is a rare and hard to find doll. She is 8 inches tall and has a beautiful brown complexion with dark brown curly hair and dark sleepy eyes. She is wearing a vinyl “grass” skirt. Her top is embroidered flowers and leaves on an elastic band. She has a flower lai around her neck and a large flower in her hair. The doll has bendable knee joints which enables it to sit on a shelf. The doll is referred to as a bent knee, non-walker Madame Alexander. No label on her clothing and no hand tag. On her back is an imprint ALEX. The elastic on her skirt and top has lost is elasticity. Dark mark on each side of torso, which I have not attempted to clean. She is a beautifully costumed doll in very good condition. Her arms, legs and head are all secure and not loose. She was used for display only.
