This sweet vintage Madame Alexander Wendy Ann is all-original from head-to-toe! She is a 13 twist-waist early Wendy Ann with molded hair rather than the human hair wigs worn by later MA twist-waist composition dolls such as Wendy Ann and Sonja Henie. These dolls also have the painted side-glancing eyes like Madame’s Little Betty dolls and her 9 Wendy Ann dolls. The twist-waist doll was my very first favorite Madame Alexander doll when I discovered her in my late mother’s collection. She has one bent knee, one bent arm, and one arm gracefully outstretched. Hence, she is able to attain a variety of poses that other dolls cannot. Her panties and petticoat are trimmed with the same delicate looped lace trim. Her socks and black side-snap shoes are perfect. The blue-skirted dress and matching hat are flawless. The same black velvet ribbon on the white bodice of the dress is used to encircle the hat just above the brim. The doll has lovely composition and her original beautifully-colored complexion with just a hint of pink at her cheeks. The kitty pictured in one photo is a prop and NOT part of the listing. Baby is made of rubber open and close eyes. Cloth body has some staining she picture. This wines up in the back to play music it still works perfectly. There is a small rip were the box is but not bad considering her age. She rubber head, arms and lids, green eyes. I think she is from the 1950s but that is a guess. She is wearing a beautiful lavender gown with hat and booties plus a pamper cover, dress is silk, lace, and pearls. Comes from a smoke free home.

Offering this beautiful vintage Madame Alexander baby doll, Baby Kathy, circa 1961. She is a soft vinyl drink/wet doll with a cryer, blue sleep eyes, molded hair and jointed arms, legs and head. What a sweet doll! She is marked Alexander on the back of her neck. Measures 17-1/2 inches long. Condition notes – please see all photos and ask questions if something is not clear. The top of her head has a bit of damage, hair color worn and small damage to the vinyl. There’s a bit of wear to her hair color all the way around. Bit of color loss on her lower lip, mouth and right cheek. Eyes open and shut easily but left eye has a little whiteness under the eyelash; you have to look for it. Cryer works when squeezed. Has original paint on it, marked Frey Mfg. Arms and legs are a little sticky when moving them, overall she’s a little tacky to the touch. She’s very clean, though. No bad odors, faint whiff of vinyl the smell of my and so many of our childhoods! Found wearing this dotted swiss organza pink dress with white lace trim, blue embroidery, peter pan collar and tiny pink buttons. Three metal snaps fasten in the back. Under the dress, she wears a cream-colored satin slip and panties. Two metal snaps fasten in the back. Slip is trimmed in same white lace and has the same blue embroidery. Panties’ waist elastic has lost it’s elasticity and they have a pink stain (1/4 spot). Otherwise, clothes are clean, free of tears, holes or other problems. She was found wearing a pink/cream cotton kerchief which I will send along just to protect her head; I didn’t photograph her in it. No shoes or socks.
