Vintage Madame Alexander Lissy Doll 1248 Blue Nylon Tulle Bridesmaids Dress 1956. Beautiful blue sleeping eyes in great working condition. Dress is a beautiful light blue and has all snaps intact. She has a headband around her coifed brown hair. She has white bloomers (a stain is shown in the pictures), nylons and has a sparkly garter. Blue shoes and a bouquet are included. She came in a box (very worn) that is marked as a pink blonde doll which she is not. I do think she is Styke 1248 but should say Blue possibly Tosca? Her dress does have some creasing/crinkling in places and a slightly wrinkled back ribbon. She is so lovely.

Pictured on Page #99 of the book “The Cissy Files” the two pieces are in excellent vintage condition. There are no holes, rips, tears, odors to the skirt and top that I can find. There is a very tiny pin dot brown mark on the skirt and another very small brown mark high on the back of the skirt just under the waistband. They were hard to capture in the photos. The nylon knit top is a little yellow on the inside neckline. This may soak out but I will leave that to the new owner. The top is tagged the skirt is not tagged and never was. It is my understanding that Madame Alexander did not tag this skirt. The skirt is cut on the bias and is not a perfect circle. I have had several of these skirts over the years and they are all like this. The red shoes accented on the toes with rhinestones are vintage shoes used by Madame Alexander. Madame Alexander Vintage Cissy Green Nylon Dress, Hat, Slip, And Panties. Complete set consisting of gorgeous sheer dress with pink satin sash, original hat with original flowers, matching chartreuse organdy slip, and chartreuse panties. There is a 1/4 break in the nylon in the front of the dress and the back sleeve seam has a tiny place where stitching is coming undone (see photos). Here is Ms Cissy out shopping. She looks lovely as always, and is a fashion statement no matter where she goes! This beautiful doll is an infused (color was added into the plastic, not painted on the doll as in the earliest Cissy dolls) Cissy. She has had her hair reset and reglued. Hair has new side ties and a new brass spanner bar. There is a very small hairline crack up inside of the socket of her left leg. No other cracks or splits or repairs. She is newly restrung to head and arms. She has had her blush professionally enhanced. Lovely full lush lashes and gorgeous blue eyes. Arms match nicely and have no rips. She is clean and has no odors or stains. Cissy is wearing a lovely nylon pink checkered shirtwaist dress with tons of lovely Val lace. It is tagged and it has never been laundered. It has no snags, rips, holes or stains. The boxed extra dress did not come with a hat. I added an original Cissy can can slip that looks lovely under this dress, as you can just see the pink rick rack peeking through the nylon. The slip has a new elastic waist. She also wears a pair of pink original Cissy panties with good elastic, new nylons, a pair of Cissy heels that appear like they may have had some new elastic added at some time, a vintage pearl bracelet, pearl Priemer ring, pearl Cissy necklace, and new pearl drop earrings. The doll is in excellent condition no splits or cracks. She has high color and a beautiful blonde wig in the short chignon with two bangs style. The original spanner bar is still present. Recently, I acquired a Cissy trunk set that contained numerous Cissy outfits, including this hard to find 2pc outfit from 1957. The outfit was a boxed extra and includes a navy, polka dotted, pleated skirt made of polished cotton and accented with flowers at the waist and a sheer nylon blouse accented with lace. Both pieces are tagged. NOTE: I had a really hard time deciding whether or not to sell these 2 pieces together as the condition of each is different. I finally made the decision to sell them together but it’s very important that it be understood that the blouse is NOT in as nice of condition as the skirt. SKIRT CONDITION: the skirt looks wonderful, even after all these decades! Flowers at waist do have a bit of wear from storage. BLOUSE CONDITION: I consider the blouse to be TLC, at least to some degree. Both cuffs need to be mended where the lace meets the nylon material with the right cuff having more areas in need of mending than the left (an example of the issue can be seen in the last pic); there are a few dropped or loose stitches along one of the shoulder seams (see 8th pic); buttons have some wear to the finish; the blouse has just a bit of general soil and the edging that finishes the bottom of the blouse has unraveled a bit on the front edges.
