Her hair has only few hairs out of place since always wearing her cute and Rare open top straw hat with velvet coral ribbon to match this Very Rare Coral Red Bird Print Dress. This dress was never advertised and have been found in several colors with the “Coral Red being the Rarest”. This TAGGED Dress still has vivid color and sheen to the chintz fabric with a very beautiful complex bird print.

Vintage 1956 Madame Alexander Cissy In Pink Wallpaper Print Tagged Dress with Straw Hat. “Real” upper lashes and painted lower lashes. Closed mouth with good lip color. Hard plastic doll with vinyl arms. Bendable knees and arms. She is wearing a tagged, puff sleeved dress in a cotton wallpaper print with roses and ribbons. She is also wearing a beautiful pink lace trim slip, panties, stockings, sandals, and straw hat with flowers. Dress has snap closures at the back. A must have for the serious collector. Doll is in overall very good condition. Knees and elbows bend and hold. Dress is in very good condition. It has minor age discoloration around the sleeve ruffles but otherwise vibrant and beautiful. One snap closure on the back needs to be resewn. Slip is in good condition. Panties have some normal age discoloration and the elastic is tired. Stockings are in good condition, but one does have a pull. Sandals have some color fade but elastic is supple. Elastic band on the hat is tired. For your consideration is a beautiful Vintage Madame Alexander. Cissy wearing the rare boxed extra Daisy Dress from 1955. The last 2 pictures are taken from. Shaw states in her second book. The Daisy Dress pictured is on everyone’s bucket list… Including the author’s! I’ve had this dress for many years – it came to me in a trunk with a Cissy and many beautiful clothes. I would not have known it was a Madame Alexander except for the tag. I surely did not know that it was rare until Ms. Shaw published her books – many thanks to her for these excellent resources. This dress still has the original flower corsage stapled to the bodice!! It has been carefully washed once due to yellowing from age and storage, but. Retains the beautiful body and sheen of polished cotton. The fabric is in excellent shape, including the gauze sleeves. Her dark brown hair appears to be in the original setting – I added dark pink vintage flowers for accent. Are blue with fairly full lashes which. Open and close as they should. Her eyes seem to be. A bit off set. I think this could be fixed; however, this is not something I wanted to try. Her original owner said she had been repaired in the past and possibly this occurred during or prior to that repair. Her complexion is beautiful and I do not know if she was repainted with the mentioned repair. Her stringing is very good. Otherwise, she is a lovely doll and would be an excellent addition to your collection. And gloves are Madame Alexander. One shoe has petals missing from the flower. I’m including 2 similar roses if you want to repair or replace it (see pictures 3 and 4 by hatbox). I’m unsure about stockings and ring, although ring is vintage. Her slip and panties are vintage, but not made by Alexander. The hatbox is a reproduction. I try to describe as accurately as possible but may leave. Something out please look at the pictures carefully. As they are the most important part of the description. Remember, this is a vintage doll over 50 plus years old. As a new doll would. I will be listing a few more Cissy’s hopefully by December, as well as other Madame Alexander, Arranbee, and others from my collection after Christmas, so please check back. This is Olive Bird Print from 1957. Rare and Hard to find All Original Tagged Olive Bird Print dress. Polished cotton fabric with unique print of swirling vines and leaves scattered with birds. It has organdy sleeves and sash. The dress is all Original, never laundered and has retained its’ original sheen. The only issues I found are: missing flower on the front sash and the elastic on the sleeves has relaxed. Very Rare Dress in Excellent condition with no damage or repairs. Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy Beautiful Blue Bird Print Dress. Beautiful vintage tagged “Cissy” dress. Polished cotton in the most beautiful blue–sort of a blend of steel blue/and maybe a darkish aqua–hard for me to describe–not a true blue but beautiful with birds on twigs with flowers print with muted green and pink highlights of color. Wide pink ribbon at waist with faux long petal flower at left side at waist. Still a colorful print with no fading, and a great heavy sheen, does not appear to have been laundered. Short cap sleeves, fitted lined bodice and full circle skirt. The dress has 4 square snaps at the center back of the bodice, and they are all securely attached and work. The hemming on the attached full circle skirt appears to be original, not rehemmed for length, with no missing stitched areas. No holes, no stains, very nice vintage tagged Madame Alexander “Cissy” dress, some minor wrinkling from storage. All items as described and photographed to the best of my ability.
