This is a darling early Madame Alexander-kins 1954 Doll wearing her colorful romper outfit. She is in excellent condition with original dark blonde wig in curl set, bright face coloring with brown brows, blue green eyes that open and close easily, black under lashes, pink peach blushed cheeks and red pert lips. Her body is in excellent tightly strung condition with straight legs and walker works, slightly stiff. Alex is wearing her pink, white dot cotton romper with eyelet ruffle with faint print tag, fuzzy bottom shoes and rayon socks with correct very hard to find hat and cute pink bear. Here for your consideration is a jumper outfit with a one piece romper under the dress. These outfits were produced by Madame Alexander for the Kins doll between 1953 and 1955 and came in a variety of prints and fabrics. The pieces were made to wear separately or together. The sleeveless dress has a pattern of red roses and green leaves on a royal blue background. It is trimmed with red rickrack. It closes with three buttons down the back. The Kins tag is present on the back of the dress. Note: about a quarter inch of rickrack was loose on the front right sleeve opening. I put in a couple of stitches to secure it and took a photo of the area. It is not readily apparent. The romper has an attached organdy blouse. It is also tagged as shown in the photos. There is a small hole under the left sleeve and a tiny bit of what I think is red transfer from the dress on the same sleeve. The two snaps in the back are secure. Other than noted above, the outfit is in very nice condition. I see no other damage, rips, tears or stains and no odors. Her face has very nice coloring. Very cute doll in a very rare outfit. Has a pink purse matching pink of rickrack on the outfit. Her outfit includes a white lace fancy bonnet with original ties, a tagged romper with leg elastic still holding memory. Square snaps in the back to close the organdy top of the romper. The Jumper has three white original buttons in back. I see no holes in the organdy or cotton. There is a teeny tiny repair at the bottom edge of hem. Hard to find or see. Top stitch white velveteen with fuzzy soles and have side snaps in very good condition. A couple of spots on shoes. This item will be insured. I messed up on the wording earlier.
