The sundress has five buttons down the back and a large self-tie that comes from the side seams, and is trimmed with rickrack at the round neckline and has two rows of rickrack at the hemline. Cissy also wears a new aqua tulle trimmed cancan petticoat, lace trimmed taffeta Cissy panties, new white shoes with aqua flowers, seamed stockings, a “Richard Original” bandeau and lucite purse set adorned with yellow and aqua flowers, new faux pearl necklace and earrings, vintage faux emerald Cissy ring. There are no holes, rips, tears, stains, or odors to her clothes. She has lovely original coloring no spa treatments or touch ups. The doll has clear blue eyes, full original eye lashes, eye shadow, ruby red lips, rosy cheeks, and a gorgeous full brunette wig in the original set. There are no cracks or splits to the doll. This pretty vintage Margie/Marjorie by Belle Doll & Toy Co. Is 20 inches tall and was made to compete with Cissy and other 20-inch fashion dolls of the late 1950s. She is all hard plastic except for her soft vinyl face. She’s often called a Cissy look-alike. She appears to be a walker, as her legs move forward and backward like a walker doll, but her head does not turn. She has joints at the head, shoulders, hips and knees. Her face coloring is original, and her blue eyes open and close well. All lashes are present. She has pierced ears and wears her original pearl earrings (no green ear). Her dark blonde hair is rooted and in its original style. Her fingernails and toenails have their original paint. She wears a wonderful dress of vintage fuschia faille (so pretty) done in a simple high-fashion style with dropped waist that is banded and accented with a fabric bow. Plain neckline that opens toward the bust, dolman sleeves with small inside openings. The skirt is box pleated and hangs so nicely. The bodice is fully lined in fuschia taffeta, and four square snaps close the back of the dress. It was custom made by “Brambletwig” and is tagged. A real work of art in my opinion. The hat was custom made especially for this dress by rtrorich (Richard Originals). It is a bucket style with vintage fuschia flowers and raspberry-colored veiling, which can be worn over the face or pushed up. Under the dress, Margie wears a vintage Premier slip that was modified somewhere along the way to fit wider hops like Margie has. It has a pretty satin inset in the back that opens all the way down with snaps. The elastic straps are just a tad long, but stay up fine. A petticoat could be added for more fullness, but I liked the look with less fullness to show off the pretty pleats of the skirt better. Margie wears vintage pink nylon panties and vintage seamed stockings with no issues save a tiny pinhole at the top of the left one. She wears vintage high heels with black bases and replaced elastic in fuschia. Other accessories include a three-strand vintage pearl necklace (which I think was actually a lady’s bracelet) and vintage nylon gloves in dark pink. The lace trim is more reddish in color. They are in good condition. The 20-inch Belle Margie/Marjorie dolls are not easily found, especially in good condition. Her wonderful costume was actually made for Cissy, but I liked it even better on Margie, so she has worn the outfit in my glass doll cabinet for quite some time. Downsizing now, so will be offering some of my favorites as I can bear to part with them. My home is non-smoking, and I thank you for viewing this listing. Maggie Is Happy… It’s Almost Summer! Check this cutie out, in her beautiful, original tagged outfit! The white organdy blouse with ruffle-tiered sleeves has a square neckline, buttons at the back, and it’s decorated with the original pink velvet bow. There are rhinestones sprinkled on the waistband & front of the skirt. This adorable outfit is in outstanding condition, with no holes, rips, tears or odors. Underneath Maggie wears a stiff taffeta slip (not original, and probably homemade) which is a bit too long for this skirt, but a slight “hike” at the waist does the trick! She has lace trimmed taffeta panties as well. On her feet, her original socks & black side-snap shoes, and she’s wearing a small vintage faux-pearl bracelet. Last but not least, Maggie’s faithful Cocker Spaniel will accompany her to her new home. He’s original vintage. Steiff, and retains his original collar & name tag! This is one gorgeous girl… She has beautiful features & suntan coloring, with lightly refreshed blush. Her shiny blonde wig is amazingly thick & loaded with curls, and she still has her original brass side barrettes. The replaced matching pink velvet bows are the finishing touch!
