Listing these days in “Dolls & Bears” is like spinning a roulette wheel–where the listing pops up, nobody knows. The outfit and the doll are original to each other, and the pieces are all correct, as far as I know. I did change out her panties at one time so the overalls would have a smoother look. She is wearing a pair of new old store stock white nylon tricot panties with an inset of pale blue lace on the left leg. The tortoise-shell finish on the glasses frame shows some wear. The flower decorations and ear pieces are intact, Straw bag and shoulder strap in good vintage condition. Her blue overalls/jumpsuit are tagged in the crotch. All snaps are present on clothing pieces. Shoe elastic still fits nicely, but not as snug as when new. Straw hat with black velvet ribbon in very good condition. The hat is sturdy. Some of these hats came with a dark blue velvet ribbon, others with black as this one. Cissy is 20 inches tall and has joints at the head, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Her arms are vinyl; the remainder of her body is hard plastic. The doll went to the spa quite a few years back. She received refreshed blush and matting. Can’t remember if her eyelashes were replaced, but they are all there. If there were any issues with the hard plastic, they were repaired at the time. Cissy has blue-green eyes that open and close well. Her stringing is fine, and her joints work well. I did notice when I undressed her for the pictures that her right leg is looser than the left and seems slightly shorter. She’s fine on a stand and will stand even without the assistance of one (see pictures). Her brunette wig seems to have a little weakness, i. If you comb through it, single hairs will loosen that need to be pulled out. If left alone, no problem. She has one of the wigs with the tight curls around the perimeter. I have several Cissy dolls with this wig, and they all seem to want to shed some. She is a lovely doll in a hard-to-find outfit, especially with the correct accessories. My home is smoke-free. WIZARD OF OZ DOLL TRUNK. For the 8 Doll. The Trunk has never been used.. However, from being in storage over time… It has some creasing on the outside flap-Wall? Also, the Case has to sit just right to lock the Latch securely. And there is a small piece of green paper coming up a bit on one edge. It’s made of Cardboard so it’s not real heavy or Sturdy. 11″ Tall x 10″ wide x almost 9 deep. The accessories inside are still sealed in plastic bags. Expect the Red Chimney? But it is in great condition. Looks like hangers in one bag, a Blue. And the COOL Witches’ Feet in the Rudy red slippers. We’re not sure just how this sets up. This is a vintage Cissy doll by Madame Alexander dressed in a tagged red velveteen dress and fully accessorized. She was manufactured in the late 1950s and is from my personal collection. Cissy is 20 inches tall and has joints at the head, shoulders, hips and knees. Her vinyl arms are also jointed. The remainder of her body is hard plastic. All joints work well, and her stringing is good. No tears or damage to her vinyl arms. Cissy has had professional repairs done to seam splits at the tops of both legs. Her blushing was refreshed and a matte finish applied to her face. Can’t recall if her lashes were replaced or not, but they are all there. Her eyes have the typical color change and are a combination of blue-green-amber. They open and close well. Cissy has the shorter brunette wig with some fly-aways or hairs that don’t want to lay smooth. The wig is intact, but stray hairs will readily pull out of the wig. That said, I haven’t messed with it much since it looks fine for display. As with every Cissy I have, the left leg seems slightly longer than the other, so on a stand, she is displayed in a slight walking position. Her sleeveless A-line dress has four snaps down the back for closure, and the pretty chevron applique on the bodice has all of its bright stones. The velveteen is a rich, deep red and not quite as bright as some of the pictures might suggest. Under her dress, she wears a pair of Cissy taffeta panties with good elastic, vintage seamed stockings in good condition (not original Cissy ones) and a darling full slip belonging to the more modern 21-inch Jackie doll. She wears a pair of gold Premier high heels that had never been on a doll and a wonderful vintage woven gold metallic cap on her head (a very pretty and unusual piece). Her other accessories include a gold-and-rhinestone replica bracelet, a knock-out diamond ring, and a pretty gold cloth evening bag with rhinestone handle. The bag has a snap closure. At one time, she would hold the bag between her thumb and fingers, but it doesn’t want to stay put that way any longer, so the handle can be used to go around her hand. It is shown both ways in the pictures. The ring is non-adjustable, but has a taller basket with a saw-tooth edge rather than the typical Cissy ring. The stone is brilliant.
