Madame Alexander 1940s 14 Wendy Ann Composition Bride Doll. Her gown is tagged “Madame Alexander”. Wendy Ann wears her original white organza gown trimmed with white satin ribbon trim. The dress has an attached satin slip and underneath she wears original panties that do not appear to have ever been removed much like her stunning creamy leather mary janes and perfect socks. She also wears her original net wedding veil with lace edging and lily of the valley flowers. The dress and veil have a few issues. She is a straight leg non-walker and has amazingly bright face and body coloring. Her knees and hands both retain bright original blush. Her eyes are clear blue with full lashes. Her body and face do have crazing or cracks but no paint peeling. Her light brown or auburn wig is full and lovely but she has been given the Princess Leia treatment and has braided buns and braided bangs. These could be removed to restore her original curls but the braids are quite charming actually the way they are. In addition to her bridal ensemble, she came with a full slip that is beautifully made but doesn’t appear original.
