Madame Alexander Dolls

This is one of the heavier 1953 Madame Alexander Kin Wendy Strung Dolls wearing a pretty pink Kin tagged dress. She is marked ALEX on her back. Her eyes are a bluish-grey color and open and close, sometimes needing a nudge. She has pale cheek color and has a little lip color missing. There is glue residue showing on her hair. Her body, arms and legs are in good condition with some marks or rubs on them, but please see her body side photos. The right side seam is not aligned perfectly but believe that the left side is ok. Her legs are the heavy solid ones that came on the 1953 Kins. She can stand well and can pose her arms fairly well. Her pink Kin dress is tagged and has pretty decorative ribbons across the front and hem area. It closes in the back with two sets of signature square snaps. It fits her really well and looks really eye catching on her. The white slip is more current and adds fullness to the dress when displayed. Her added underpants are in good, clean condition and fit her well. Her black fuzzy side-snap smooth bottom shoes are in fair condition with most of the flocking rubbed off. Her pink socks are also good with some darkening from shelf wear. A really adorable Kin. Soft Brunette mohair curls with bangs and delicate pink flowers at each side. Wearing tagged wedding gown with palest pink/cream bodice trimmed with tatting and lace ruffle, tulle yoke, pale pink tulle overskirt with lace borders, pale pink tulle sleeves, and veil with crown of flowers, pink taffeta underskirt and panties, stockings, cream front-snap shoes and carrying bouquet with silk streamers. This gorgeous and RARE Madame Alexander doll in in good vintage condition, made in 1950, and has exceptionally rosy cheeks, rose red lips, clear blue sleep eyes, and good overall condition. She is featured in THERIAULTS famous doll auctions. This lovely doll is very hard to find in this PETITE SIZE and in this condition. Her mohair wig is a brunette red/brown in its original set. It could use a bit of restyling. Her Hard Plastic body is in great shape with next to nothing in terms of paint scuffs, loss, chips, or cracks. The dress is in wonderful shape, still sturdy and not faded. The lace on dress is close to perfect, has no tears or holes. The lace on under sleeves, yoke and overskirt is delicate but still very nice. There may be a tiny spot on back of gown, but hardly noticeable. The square snaps are all intact, may need a stitch or two in places. NOTE: The pink veil has holes and tears in fabric. It is a bit limp and faded and there are stains that are present. It may be rust. The floral crown on top is also limp. She is wearing very delicate stockings and her shoes are nice. The bouquet may have been added somewhere in her history, otherwise she is all original. She will come with a stand. Her stringing is good. No box or wrist tags. If you like RARE Madame Alexander, this doll is a real find! Please Note: This doll is not in mint condition, but good vintage condition. EYES OPEN AND CLOSE AS THEY SHOULD 90% OF THE TIME, NEED A LITTLE SHAKE TO OPEN THEM ON OCCAISION. SHE IS BEAUTIFUL AND IN GREAT SHAPE GIVEN HER AGE. SHE IS HARDER TO FIND ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION. UNFORTUNATELY SHE HAS LOST HER SLIPPERS. ZOOM IN TO APPRECIATE THE DETAILS.
