Hard plastic bent knee walker doll, original tagged outfit. The shoe soles do not match. Some discolortion to the apron and slip. The stringing is a bit loose. This is the darling HTF “Parlour Maid” #579 from 1956. You can see a picture of her in P. Smith’s book “The World of Alexander-kins” on page 83. This is a gorgeous bend-knee walker with bright all original facial coloring and a beautiful triple stitch auburn wig. The precious outfit consists of the tagged black taffeta dress with organdy apron and “doily” style headpiece. All are in very good condition with no stains, holes, or other problems. Under the dress she wears a very nice organdy slip with good original elastic, and matching organdy panties that are also in perfect shape. Her socks and fuzzy bottom shoes are also in excellent condition. Her outfit is completed with the original dust mop that is secured to her hand with the correct pink covered wire. I believe she dates from the 1950s. Here knees are jointed. Her outfit is all original. She is dressed as a Chamber Maid and comes complete with her own dusting stick and little lace cap on her head. I will answer the best I can. Her eyes open and close. Cloth tag on the back of the dress. There is a small faded spot on the back edge of the dress (see photo). Very good condition for the age. Here dress is a little dusty, but I did not attempt to clean her in any way. I leave that for the experts. A wonderful addition for any collection or she would make a great gift.
