Madame Alexander Dolls

She comes in a box labeled 576 blonde and it is believed to be the original box this darling doll came in. This beautiful BKW has super high coloring that is all original and perfection. She has beautiful blonde hair that is shiny and in the original set. Her stringing is all original and she has no stains or cracks to her body. She comes wearing a rare purple pinafore and yellow dress. Both pieces have a super polished cotton shine to them and have no holes, stains, tears or odors. Under her dress she wears a beautiful organdy slip and bloomers both of which have nice tight original stretch. She comes wearing fuzzy bottom white shoes and socks. The shoes are in really good condition but have a few stray marks here and there. Lastly is her fabulous purple hat with yellow cabbage roses. It is attached to her head with a madame alexander pin and does not look to have ever had chin strap. The box shows normal wear and tear but is in overall good shape. Her head is just a bit wobbly but her arms are fine and her knees bend well. Her hair is an amazing copper penny color, shiny and perfect. Her face paint is very high color and quite flawless. Her outfit is crisp and looks like it came right from the store. She comes with an extra pair of shoes and is wearing a bracelet and ring. Under her outfit she is wearing a black lace teddy. She is in her original box which is not in good shape (as you can see) but still is her original box. I have taken 3 more close up photos outside in bright sunlight. I’m afraid they’re still not quite as sharp as I would like but a new camera is coming. There is a bit of wear on the paint on her neck mostly on her right side. I don’t notice it in regular light but in bright light there is a bit of very subtle mottling mostly on the outside of her left eye. Her cheek color is amazing as are her eyebrows and lips. She is from 1950, and she has the Margaret face mold. Original foil wrist tag, and store receipt. This doll is the best example of a Peggy Bride I have seen. She is 14 tall. Her silk gown has no flaws. It’s a bit wrinkled in the back from laying in her box for so many years. No holes- no actual flaws. She smells like a wonderful, clean, and perfect vintage doll. She is simply stunning. Everything is in working order. Her sleep eyes are clear, blue and perfect. I have examined the doll completely, and the only things I saw were a tiny pin size light brown spot on the silk overlay of the gown. The veil has 3 tiny light brown spots. This is her original box, however the color of the gown is checked pink. The gown is of course white. Over the years, has become more of a creamy white. The box is missing a bit of one side of the upper flap. However, for it’s age, I have seen much worse. An example of one of the finest dolls ever made. She will not disappoint.
