Antique Madame Alexander Dionne Marie Quintuplet Toddler. Composition head and body, jointed head, shoulders and hips. Sleep eyes, closed mouth, brown wig with blue ribbon. Original quintuplet dress, undergarments, socks and shoes. Lip is a bit worn in one spot, see pictures. Very minor cracking on face and body, one bigger crack on back of one leg (see picture), very little considering age of doll. Active Antique Dolls from a Haunted Town/House! 50s Madame Alexander Kathy wet drink baby. 30s-40s cracked porcelain sleepy baby (see photos for details). We live in a Historical Town with a lot of supernatural activities throughout the decades. From notorious haunted highway canyon where the White Witch appears that leads into historical town where the 1st Hollywood Film Embassy. Our home was built in 1903. It can be seen in Embassy Film photo taken in the 1910s (see photo). Recently, I had a experience with these two dolls. I kept hearing a muffled conversation between these two in the next room over (to my wall where I sleep). These two must find another loving home. Vintage 1930′s Madame Alexander Wendy Ann doll. Original mohair wig, in original style with finger waves. Original real fur hat and muff. Original oilcloth shoes and rayon socks. Original linen slip and patties, plus net petticoat. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Wendy Ann doll. She has an all composition jointed, strung body. She has the original light brown mohair wig in finger waves with a spit curl at the front. Sparkling blue sleep eyes that open and close with original hair lashes, painted under lashes, nice coloring, red bow mouth. The strings are good and she holds a pose well. The composition is good with minor. The legs have flaws, she has been sealed to help prevent crazing typical to this old composition. The doll is marked on the back of the head; MME Alexander. She is wearing her original tagged pink taffeta dress with sprays of cloth flowers on the skirt and sequin trim at the waist. The dress is in lovely condition, nice body, clean, sturdy, no tears, a few very faint shadows and a light water mark on the back of one sleeve, nothing. She has a white linen petticoat with pink trim and. Matching panties, plus a net tulle slip. The hat is original, genuine rabbit fur, it has the elastic strap attached, trimmed with pink flocked flowers and rayon ribbon, matching muff with pink strap. The shoes are original oil cloth, ankle ties, she has rayon socks. The listing is for the doll and clothes shown only, no stand. For your Collecting pleasure. FABULOUS matched pair of large , 16″ tall, “Susie Q” and Bobby Q”, labeled , stuffed cloth character dolls by Madame Alexander from the 1938 comic strip. Susie still has her complete sewn-in label on her clothing: “Susie Q”/Madame Alexander, New York. They each have huge, painted blue. Side-glancing (googly shaped) eyes glancing to each other and matching red , white and blue. Felt and cotton outfits complete with matching felt shoes with spats. These sweet faced, early cloth dolls each have their original yarn hair, (Susie has black hair with scalloped bangs and long braids and Bobby has curly brown hair). They each have comical expressions, molded pug noses, long eyelashes and rosy cheeks. They also have molded flat feet to stand and mitt-shaped hands with separate thumbs. Susie has red striped legs and Bobby has blue striped legs. She wears her red and white polka dot printed dress with attached white petticoat and panties and pleated organdy collar beneath her fitted blue felt jacket and Bobby wears similar blue felt jacket over his red and white polka dot shorts with attached white cotton shirt, undies and red and white tie. Both wear their white felt spats with three button closures over their black felt shoes. They are in very good condition with no stains, very minimal fading to Susie’s dress and no odors as they are from a smoke free home. 7 and a half inch tall Dionne Quintuplets from 1934. All with original clothing, Dr. Dafoe with socks and shoes. Quintuplets have their original gold name pins. The Dionnes were identical quintuplet sisters born in Canada in 1934. All original appendages included. Three of the quintuplets will require internal re-stringing. The Dionne quintuplets (French pronunciation: [dzjn]; born May 28, 1934) are the first quintuplets known to have survived their infancy. The identical sisters were born in Canada, just outside Callander, Ontario, near the village of Corbeil. All five survived to adulthood. The Dionne girls were born two months premature. After four months with their family, they were made Wards of the King for the next nine years under the Dionne Quintuplets’ Guardianship Act, 1935. The government and those around them began to profit by making them a significant tourist attraction in Ontario. The identical quintuplet sisters were, in order of birth. Yvonne Édouilda Marie Dionne. Annette Lillianne Marie Allard. Cécile Marie Émilda Langlois. Émilie Marie Jeanne Dionne. Marie Reine Alma Houle. Doctor Allan Roy Dafoe OBE was a Canadian obstetrician, best known for delivering and caring for the Dionne quintuplets, the first quintuplets known to survive early infancy. Dafoe was born in Madoc, Ontario, the son of a physician. He trained in the same profession and, in early 1909, he went into practice in Callander, Ontario, where he resided for the rest of his life. On 28 May 1934 he assisted in the multiple births of the Dionne family, that saw the survival of the mother and all the children. This got international press notice. He continued to help care for the children for years, and became something of a celebrity in the onslaught of media attention. The government of Ontario gave Dr. Dafoe full guardianship of the quintuplets.
