Madame Alexander Dolls

Vintage 1960 Madame Alexander Godey Girl Doll #2181 Original Box Excellent Condition- Tagged. Doll is wearing an apricot taffeta dress or skirt and matching velvet jacket that hooks in the front. Her blouse has faux diamond buttons down the front. I can see that the skirt snaps in the back. The tag is shown in the photo and looks untouched. This doll is from the daughter of the original owner and is in EXCELLENT condition. I’ve not undressed her. She’s been kept in a plastic bag in her original box. She’s not dusty or dirty. I will list the few defects as I see them but encourage questions and I’m happy to send additional photos. Looking at her face I see nothing wrong. She has gorgeous blue eyes and white pigment around the iris. All of her lashes are there. She is wearing lovely faux diamond drop earrings that are original. Her hat is pinned to her head but I’ve lifted it up and her hair is in the original setting. There are a few fly aways but nothing major. The hat is gorgeous, however, I see that the netting is a little frayed. I don’t think frayed is the term but it’s not perfect and I’ve not untied it. All the flowers look beautiful and not dingy at all. I dropped two droplets of water on her skirt and you might be able to see the faint outline in the photo. It’s near her right hand. I found one tiny pin size white spot on the side of the doll but it’s not anything. She’s been in the box but isn’t messy. Her clothing is crisp and I can tell they’ve never been washed. Her underclothing is in the same condition. She has a big crinoline and slip. She has her panties, stockings, and black shoes. I see a pick or two in her hose but no holes and the shoes shoes look fine. The elastic might be the slightest bit stretched but not by much. Her hang tag was on the back of her dressed so I moved it to the front. I see no dirt or damage on her body as far as I can tell. Her ring is missing the stone. She comes with her original box that has some damage but is still in decent condition. I can send photos of the box if asked. This beautiful 8″ doll is “GLAMOUR GIRL PICNIC DAY #64085, made exclusively for the 2011 Madame Alexander Doll Club Convention in Atlanta, GA. She was the souvenir doll for the “20+ Event”, only available to those who had been MADC members for 20 or more years. She wears a lovely pink floral print dress with ruffled hem, white ruffled tulle slip, white tights and brown & white shoes. She also has her natural straw hat trimmed with flowers. The hat is still sealed in the little plastic bag attached to her box. It feels like there is possibly something else in the bag under the hat ribbons, but I cannot tell and don’t want to open it since it’s still factory sealed. Lovely doll with brown eyes, rosey cheeks and dark red (auburn) curly hair. She is also a Total Moves Wendy with jointed elbows & knees and a swivel waist for greater poseability. GLAMOUR GIRL PICNIC DAY is #53 in a Limited Edition of only 110 dolls and comes Mint-in-Box with her wrist tag and Certificate of Authenticity. She has never been removed from her box or displayed. She is wearing a crisply tagged, stiff crimson taffeta gown with light cream taffeta bodice. She wears a matching red taffeta hat, and original “fur” cape is lined in matching taffeta as well, both of which are in fantastic condition. Her Light cream taffeta Hoop-slip and attached, lace trimmed panties still have tight elastic are still stiff and beautiful. She wears her original netting stockings and black flawlessly fuzzy soled shoes, both in beautiful condition. Her hair is in original set of curls that circle her head like a wreath. She has very long and thick black eyelashes, pouty Maggie lips and soft blushing, and beautiful eyebrows. She has an original wrist tag and black Madame Alexander hat box. 1930′s Madame Alexander Swiss Girl & Boy in Original Boxes and Tagged Clothing. Adorable little dolls in near perfect condition! Each are 9 tall wearing their original clothing in original boxes. There are little to no imperfections – they are quite a pair! Please review photos as they add to this description. Gorgeous vintage Madame Alexander 18″ all hard plastic “Flower Girl doll in all original outfit. She is a hardly seen, rare special edition from 1954. She is marked “Alexander” on the back of the head. Her strawberry blond wig is glued on, and I believe that makes her a “Winnie Walker” doll with a Cissy face. Her head turns side to side when you move her legs, and she is jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. Her stringing is tight and the walking mechanism works well. There are no split seams or cracks, and all fingers and toes are intact. She is wearing her original tulle over taffeta lace trimmed gown with matching bloomers, tulle hoop slip, silky socks and original satin shoes with center snaps. The outfit is in very nice condition with no rips, holes or stains, but the hoop on the slip is a bit out of round. The doll and clothing are clean. Her face is exceptionally pretty with good color, and sleep eyes work fine. There is a tiny nick on the tip of her nose, but other than that, no damage to speak of. She is really a lovely doll. Her full-skirted, tagged gown with Blue embossed flowers and vines is made of crisp polished cotton, and is trimmed with lovely white ball trim. Her dress does have a couple small spots/areas with light yellow aging. Her bonnet is a stiff black taffeta edged in black lace and adorned with a lovely white ostrich feather. She has on her blue gloves and carries her black madame Alexander Hat box. Her Coloring is outstanding; her eyebrows, blushing, soft eyeshadow, bright lips etc. Her Eyes are a vibrant sky blue that matches the blue in her dress nicely. She has long, thick eyelashes, and shiny perfect curls in original set. She wears a white hoopslip with attached lace-edged panties, which is unwashed and still bright, but shows a few little holes near the hem. Her original net stockings are in beautiful condition, and her black velvet shoes are still nice too (with one shoe sole showing a touch more wear than the other). Comes from a smoke and pet-free home. She isn’t 100% mint, but over all in very beautiful condition, and a great example of a VERY hard to finds blue variation of the Edwardian Glamour Girl.
