This doll is one of the prettiest Alexander Kins I have seen. She is an obviously unplayed with doll who has spent her life in the box. The dolls color is fantastic. She has a nice matte finish, highly blushed cheeks, wonderful all over complexion and dark pupiless eyes. Her hair is shiny, tight to her head and in a special style adorned with a spray of beautiful flowers. Her dress is still very white and has swiss dots all over it and around the waist is a blue bow that is still factory tied and beautiful. The dress is free of any stains, tears, holes or odors. Under her dress she has a organdy long slip with tight stretch elastic. Her bloomers are also perfect with tight elastic and no issues. She wears blue fuzzy bottom shoes that show no wear. The only thing missing is her diploma which must have gotten lost at some point through the years. The box is in good condition and just shows just normal wear from age. It is correctly labeled 399 and comes with her booklet and neck brace. All together this is a truly fantastic doll that will be a star in your collection! She is in excellent unplayed with condition. She wears her original dress, panties, socks and shoes. The shoes are fuzzy on the bottom. She is a SLW. The box does have wear – see pictures. She has an unusual hair style, with a twist on top pulled into a ponytail in the back. She also wears her original hair bow. There are not enough nice things to say about this beautiful doll. Elise has lovely shiny brown hair in its original set. Her coloring is fantastic. She has beautiful highly blushed all original facial coloring and a lovely all over tone to her skin. Her body is free of an cracks and and would be perfect if not for a stain on the back of her right leg. She was stored with an extra pink hat with pink flowers and I think the pink flowers must have. Color to her leg. It is really hard to see with her stocking on but when you take them off you can see the mark. I do not have a lot of experiences with Elise and most of the dolls I have had have been ballerinas. This Elise has a body I have not had before and she is made like a Cissy with a metal bar running through the middle and legs that can not be removed. All the Elise dolls I have seen before have had hollow bodies without the metal bar so I wanted to mention this because I found it to be very interesting. Elise comes in a beautiful pink dress made of a shiny polished cotton and with a beautiful texture to it. The dress is in excellent condition with no stains, holes tears or odors. The dress has a lovely bouquet of flowers at the waist that still look new and are absolutely beautiful. Under her dress she has a beautiful pink lace slip with nice tight stretch to the elastic waist. The only thing missing is Elises bloomers. She came to me wearing a girdle so for whatever reason the little girl who owned her changed out her underwear at some point in time. To me this is the only evidence this doll was ever played with as everything else seems really minty and in unplayed with condition. She has on nice stocking with no runs that I can find. Elise wears beautiful sliver spike heels with nice stretch. To finish off this outfit is an absolutely perfect pink cloche straw hat. The pink color of the hat is vibrant and it has not aged a bit. The flowers are excellent as well and match the dress perfectly. All together this is one of the prettiest Elises I have seen and she will be a stand out in your collection! WOW this is one gorgeous Cissy. This doll came to me in the box but her outfit had somehow acquired black stains and could not be saved leaving me with an unplayed with Cissy that is simply stunning. Her coloring is perfection. Her all original highly blushed cheeks are even prettier in person. She has all of her eyelashes and her body is free of cracks or stains. However, there is a red mark on the inside of her crotch area towards the back of it (sorry to be indelicate). Of course this would never been seen, and doesn’t detract in any way, but I felt I needed to mention it. Her beautiful blonde hair is in the original set up top but the bottom portion had to be retied as it had come undone from age. This doll can be seen on p. 28 of Smith’s “The World of Alexander-kins” although it is shown with a different hat. This beautiful doll is a strung, non-walker. She has no cracks, stains, or seam separations in her hard plastic. Her all original facial coloring is spectacular! She has clear eyes and beautifully blushed cheeks. One eyebrow is light but I don’t think it detracts in any way. To me her coloring is just fantastic and she is even prettier in person. She has a very pretty triple stitch wig in original set and is a beautiful red color. The outfit itself is just beautiful. It consists of the dress, hat, slip, panties, socks, and absolutely perfect white top stitch fuzzy bottom shoes. The dress is a lovely shade of light blue. The organdy has held up nicely and still looks very good. The white net arms are still very white and the elastic is still nice and tight. There are no holes or stains in the dress. Under the dress is an beautiful perfect pink taffeta slip with a perfect pair of matching pink pantaloons. The slip has nice tight stretch and the pink color is still so pink. The pantaloons are equally as nice and the color is fantastic on them as well. The matching hat is very pretty and the white straw and flowers are in terrific shape. Lastly she has on a perfect white pair of top stitch shoes. These shoes show no wear, are still very white and are just outstanding. All together she is one special Alexander-kin!
